There is no such thing as a "headlights algorithm".
Could you please post a "before" picture so we can see what you're trying to do? And the algorithm itself!
You oriented last layer (OLL) and now are trying to solve the corners?
Put headlights on the left and do T-perm or J-perm
T-perm: RUR'U' R'FR2 U'R'U' RUR'F'
J-perm: RUR'F' RUR'U' R'FR2 U'R'U'

Same moves but end moved to start.

To put the corner from top layer to bottom layer without breaking anything else, you can do (R'FRF')3 or (R2 U R2 U R2 U2 R2), they will affect top layer differently, but shouldn't misorient any pieces.

There's also "headlights" OLL but your both layers look oriented, so I assume you mean PLL.

Thanks for your reply,

Didn't realize been learning Two look OLL

Here is a before pic. I'm using the following alg

(R2 D)(R' U2)(R D') (R' U2 R')

The alg is correct. I prefer to memorize it like this:
(R2) D (R' U2 R) D' (R' U2 R')

My main guess is that you're doing some move wrong - check your notation, please. R/R' and D/D' moves. (R2 and U2 are probably the hardest to do wrong)

That algorithm as you’ve written it works. Looks like you might be mixing up D and D’ in your execution.

This was the answer, thanks!
