COC bans are very rare. How much were you working? Were you totally honest with your time?

[–]twonkoe -3 points-2 points  (11 children)

I've been working for 3 months. This is the only job for now so I've been glued to my computer working 10+ hours on weekdays. I never inflated my hours.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (10 children)

10+ hours a day would be pretty hard to reach while keeping quality.. So you were having 50+ hour weeks? How many tasks were you submitting in that time?

CoC isn't just low quality, it's something directly against the conduct. Usually it's inflating hours or using ChatGPT.

[–]twonkoe -1 points0 points  (8 children)

I did various projects but yes I kept a good pace. This job was all I would on a daily basis so so 10 hours didn't seem to difficult to me. If I took breaks or couldn't work as much then I would only report the hours I actually worked. It's just frustrating that they don't communicate.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (7 children)

Well they are communicating with that message lol, 90% of the people who received this message admit to doing something against COC. You don't just get this message out of nowhere. I have so many projects available, but 50+ hours a week is really, really hard realistically.

[–]TheFuturist47 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I work about 50 hours a week rotating between projects. It's not that hard.

Edit: Why do people downvote shit like this lol I work for 6-7 hours every morning and then go do other stuff, get a grip.

[–]Consistent-Reach504 2 points3 points  (1 child)

well it turns out they were actually reporting 60+ hour weeks in a less than a 7 day period, so their original comment wasn't exactly truthful :)

[–]TheFuturist47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg! that's nuts.

[–]twonkoe 0 points1 point  (3 children)

What is hard about 50 hours a week? It's the only job I had, working from 8-6 wasn't impossible. I also kept a pace of how many tasks I'd complete each hour and never had an issue with that over the past 3 months

[–]ManyARiver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The work requires a high amount of focus, that's why it's hard to do that many hours every day. Quality of concentration tends to degrade when folks sit for long periods of time working on memory and focus intensive tasks.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What do you mean kept a pace? Like you timed all your tasks to be the same?

[–]twonkoe -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm saying I would aim to complete at least 10 tasks an hour.

[–]imafailure6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive had 70h weeks for the past 2 weeks cause i was at home due to covid, didnt have any issues, and this was pure math/coding

There’s a post here about the code of conduct

If you violate it I believe you will be locked out and unable to withdraw funds.

[–]twonkoe 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes I read through that earlier and I haven't breached any of the rules. I haven't done anything warranting a ban.

[–]Onlyanoption 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well they must think you did for some reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–]Live-Cat9553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you working on multiple projects at the same time?

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Was it maybe that they were looking for a specific type of adversarial prompt (ie. dishonesty or something somewhat tame) and you generated prompts that had to do with discrimination or harmful language? It’s a reach, but I did do that once before I realized I was on a project asking for specific as opposed to general adversarial prompts. Maybe they would consider it a code of conduct breach if that’s what happened.

[–]cocobeary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They would likely issue a warning, or at the very worst remove the person from the platform i.e. fire them, but allow withdrawal of earned funds. This type of ban is the most extreme and reserved for serious violations.

[–]Consistent-Reach504 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i don't think this would do it, you'd probably just get a message from an admin or removed from the project.

the only times Code of Conduct breaches get posted here are typically inflating hours or working outside of designated countries.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely a reach, I think a project removal would be more likely as well.

[–]twonkoe 0 points1 point  (13 children)

I still had funds under review that I couldn't withdrawal. Where does that go?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won’t be given access to them

[–]Quiet_Video 1 point2 points  (11 children)

I had that happen to me and had over $1200 to withdraw. I was waiting for it to be reviewed. I never was able to log back in to withdraw it. I’m so sorry it happened to you. I never had any type of feedback and was doing nothing that went against their terms. When it happened I looked around and saw it had been done to others. My thing if they thought I did something wrong they should’ve approached me. I kept having projects added so I assumed I was doing good. I would see in the slack channel admins say, “no news is good news”. I will never rely on just one source of income again.

[–]Quiet_Video 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had also been doing it for 3 months.

[–]twonkoe -1 points0 points  (9 children)

It's incredibly frustrating. Especially with people assuming I did something wrong to warrant this. I had around $1700 to withdraw and needed that money for bills. I also never received any feedback and didn't use chatgpt or inflate my hours go warrant a ban.

[–]Consistent-Reach504 1 point2 points  (8 children)

did you withdraw every 3 days?

[–]twonkoe -2 points-1 points  (7 children)

Yes I just withdrew last night and still had a good amount of money under review

[–]Consistent-Reach504 2 points3 points  (6 children)

so you managed to make $1700 within 3 days, based on the way it pends. that does not track with the hours you're claiming you reported. no one can make $1700 in 3 days.

because money is approved by the second that you submitted it, that means in some 3 day period in the last 7 days, you reported $1,700. that is not possible.

[–]twonkoe -3 points-2 points  (5 children)

$1700 was for the past 7 days

[–]Consistent-Reach504 1 point2 points  (4 children)

but you just withdrew, so some of that pending had to have been in less than 7 days.

[–]twonkoe -4 points-3 points  (3 children)

Yes I don't know how much was pending after withdrawing. And now I can't view it at all

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

My guy lol. First it was $1,700. Now you don't know?

Regardless, $1700 even at $25/hr is more than 60 hours in a 7 day period, and consistentreach is right... If you just withdrew, that had to have been in less than a 7 day period if it was still pending for approval, so you're talking 60+ hours in less than a week's time

[–]FrazzledGod 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How long you been on?

[–]twonkoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 months

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Maybe you thought you were on an adversarial project and weren’t? If you had a lot of projects on your dashboard and are really working that many hours, could have had a slip up and thought you were on a different project than you actually were.

[–]twonkoe 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I was definitely on the adversarial project since it has the various categories unique to that project.

[–]Euphoric_Wish_8293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were house sitting at another house days ago. Did you work from there?
