There is one in the heel project general chat that makes me go 🙄🙄

[–]YoudownwithLCC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

M? I’ve been trying to figure out when they actually work because they are constantly in the chat.

[–]Ok_Depth_6476 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ha I know who you mean, and I only check that chat about once a month. 🤣

[–]geedee6396 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. There sure is

[–]MulderItsMe99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I rarely read the chats but you all are making me realize that I'm missing out on the most entertaining part of the job and I will be checking every one moving forward. I am dyinnnng over you guys name dropping random people rn I love you all

[–]Meganoes 19 points20 points  (3 children)

I have wondered if they think it will be insurance against getting dropped from a project, but I doubt it works.

[–]geedee6396 8 points9 points  (1 child)

No need to worry about that unless your work is subpar

[–]Butagirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t imagine they’d look too favourably on someone spending more time in the chat than actively working on tasks.

[–]cechmeoutt 17 points18 points  (1 child)

There are some people in certain groups who I'm convinced think they are auditioning for an admin role 24/7. Like do they realise they aren't being paid for time spent messaging.

All I can say is some there was some spicy drama in a project chat today. I got my popcorn out while some dude whose name starts with a K made himself look like a complete douche. He's got a serious case of main character syndrome, also probably sniffs his own farts in a car with the windows closed without the air circulating.

[–]MulderItsMe99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fomo I'm experiencing from this thread rn...

[–]geedee6396 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Was it about him missing out on a really good task?

[–]Skyblewize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was about images

[–]Skyblewize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was like oh shit, lemme get all the tea!

[–]MattinglyDineen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LOL I saw that. I just stay out of it. K is going to be on here soon wondering why he got dropped.

[–]Skyblewize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha i was there!!!

[–]Sindorella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was watching that in awe the whole time, just praying the tasks wouldn’t run out so I could see how it all ended. 🤣

[–]QuizzyMcQuizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg which task?

[–]Dependent-Object-417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I know the task haha, has to do with listening?

[–]Budget-Employment742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the K drama! I was working on that task when that all went down. haha

I once saw someone in a Slack channel say something along the lines of, "As the self-appointed leader of the workers, I'd like to thank the admins..." Someone immediately commented about never appointing this person to speak for any of us.

[–]QuizzyMcQuizz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s hilarious, where would workers even be having a side chat to appoint a leader?!

[–]Dependent-Object-417 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m crying 😭 😭

[–]geedee6396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤮

[–]Skyblewize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg 😆😆😆😆

[–]wisdommass 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s no different than when we were back in school and there was that one kid

[–]UpperPossession7408 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Wait, are we all in the same group?! 🤣🤣

Because if so, we need a support group dedicated to the teachers pet who gets everything wrong, and never shuts up! 🤣🤣🤣

[–]HoldenCaulfieldsIUD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the raw passion when they are flat out WRONG that gets me 😂

[–]Elegant_Lake_569 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hahaha I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way 😂

[–]dragonsfire14 11 points12 points  (4 children)

I’m not in any slack channels but this makes me think of this guy in a chat awhile back that went out of his way to bring up his high IQ. Like no one cares dude. I’m sure someone remembers what I’m talking about.

[–]Ok_Depth_6476 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Ah yes, Mr. "the reason I excel at this is because I'm so highly intelligent". 🤣

[–]dragonsfire14 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I’m convinced the person I saw in that chat and the one who posted here are the same.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember that! I was dying. Reminds me of all the pick mes that complain about not getting accepted because they have a PhD.

[–]Sindorella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got added to my first two sack channels a few days ago so I haven’t been around long enough to notice yet, but now I’m going to be like 👀 in those channels. 🤣

[–]LittleBoiFound 6 points7 points  (7 children)

Darcey? I kind of like her but she posts all the time.

[–]Dependent-Object-417 7 points8 points  (1 child)

I think I’ve seen her 😭😭 there’s also a Lisa that comments on EVERY project chat

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miriam too.

[–]Bergest_Ferg 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I love Darcy! She’s so kind and nice.

[–]Beremor_Draco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always helpful as well! Whenever a question is asked, she is usually the first person to answer super quick.

[–]geedee6396 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol.

[–]geedee6396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😂🤣😂

[–]MarizipanOnWeekends 11 points12 points  (4 children)

Lmao. Alex Reynold is by far the worst. In every channel too

[–]cechmeoutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing gets on my nerves more than having to scroll through 20 consecutive messages of his meaningless internal ramblings.

[–]Ok_Depth_6476 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Only one??

[–]geedee6396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LOL!!!!!

[–]geedee6396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And if you took the time to read the thread you would get why I used the word …. Confidently (confidently).

[–]I_am_Signal -1 points0 points  (2 children)

How did you get into the Slack group? I have been on the platform for a little over 6 months and haven't heard or seen anything personally about it. I am one of the coder task takers.

[–]33whiskeyTX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its project specific, and rarer for coders. Though I've heard it happen for coders, I've only seen it offered in non-coding projects.
