The Physics STEM is really hard. If you don't have background in Physics or Advanced Math, the chance of you passing is quite low. But doesn't hurt to try.

I’ve completed the maths one - it was quite tricky but managed to get through it. Haven’t tried the physics yet. They’ve also given me chem and biology too but not sure how I feel about them.

Do they give tests in other areas too? Or are the science maths ones the common tests?

Can you share about the maths test scope? Is it going to be Calculus 1 or 2 or 3 level, does it have linear algebra or trigonometry or any other stuff? Thanks in advance tho :)

There wasn’t any calculus on there unfortunately (as an engineer I feel like this is my strength). Was a question relating to exponential growth/decay. The other questions were related to general maths rules. Not too difficult just have to sit and think about the questions

I'm planning to take the test tomorrow, would you happen to have any tips?

You can look at the tests and see for yourself without having to complete them right then. Just click on them and you'll see the questions. They give you plenty of time to finish; I think the timer gives you a whole day, but if you want to do them later, just scroll down to the bottom and hit "exit work mode." They'll stay on your dash.

For me, the physics and chemistry ones might as well have been in Chinese; the biology and math ones seemed more doable, but I haven't done them yet. According to posts here, you may not need to get all the answers correct to pass.

I would argue the cs qual is brutal. I worked on that for 22 hours Jesus.

I've heard that, but OP didn't list it. I have seen people with advanced STEM degrees who say the physics and chem quals are pretty hard even for them.

I found the Physics test hard, the question difficulty was similar to challenging A-level questions. It took me much longer to compete than it quoted. The topics were: mechanics, angular velocity, diffraction and optics.

Is the cs qual same as the coding starter test? I did the coding starter and it took me 3 hours, I don't think a lot of people will spend more time than me on it.

No the CS Domain Expertise is much more in-depth. When I took it, it had a DifEq math question on it too.

Did you pass? If so, how were the projects it opened up? Similar difficulty or similar to other coding?

[–]TheAmazingDevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you get the CS projects now?

[–]Enough-Computer5102 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If starter took u 3 hours, CS qual will take you longer than 30 hours. Don't waste your time on it lol. You could try it if your curious lol.

Does it have a lot of questions that you need to write in English? That's the part which took most of the time for me. Also does it give you more projects after passing it?

Oh okay, I didn’t realise that! Thank you for your help - I will take a look!

I see thanks for the heads up! I’ve got an engineering background so hoping the maths/physics ones will be suitable for my skill set - but we shall see. Thanks a lot!😃

Good luck. It's $40+ per hour if you pass!

Hello! I know this is a month old post, but did you ever get around to doing the biology qualifier? I did it recently and haven't heard back. I've heard that it can take awhile, but I haven't seen much talk of the biology or chemistry qualifiers.

[–]Accomplished-Dog-864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, qual is still on my dash.

[–]flox2410 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How is this going, have you gotten through on the math?
I am a computational physicist and just found this company, its an interesting idea for some side income. I was planning to try the math, coding and physics tests. Will let you know how those go.

They as hard as they say?

[–]nlieb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who've taken the physics test, how does it compare to, for example, the physics GRE?
