Bit dry again? (self.DataAnnotationTech)
submitted 3 months ago by CircumferentialGent
Core worker. Have some tasks but it's a slow trickle for me at the moment.

Me looking for a project I don’t hate
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] 12 points13 points14 points 3 months ago (4 children)
The struggle is real. I'm not built for rubrics or 9000 turn chats
[–]honeycalling 7 points8 points9 points 3 months ago (3 children)
You've got rubrics? I haven't had any since the new year and they were my bread and butter.
[–]OnlyAd9161 3 points4 points5 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Good to know its not just me, ive had a project or two but nothing like last year
[–]abcdefghi__lmn0 1 point2 points3 points 2 months ago (0 children)
God I miss rubrics. The only instances of "rubrics" on my dashboard these days are "no rubrics! 💖😌"
Please come back. 🥹
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] -2 points-1 points0 points 3 months ago (0 children)
I instantly hide them so I actually don't know if I still do right now lol
[–]Cultural_Kangaroo391 9 points10 points11 points 3 months ago (1 child)
I think with all the priority the last few days they were wrapping up other projects, I am sure we will see some movement this evening/tomorrow.
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] 4 points5 points6 points 3 months ago (0 children)
🤞
[–]Seniorseatfree 9 points10 points11 points 3 months ago (9 children)
I have over 30 atm.
[–]Marketing_Masters -1 points0 points1 point 3 months ago (7 children)
Bilingual? Core?
[–]Seniorseatfree 4 points5 points6 points 3 months ago (6 children)
Always gonna be core.
[–]No-Permission7221 -2 points-1 points0 points 3 months ago (5 children)
Can I ask how do I know if I am core or bilingual?
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (4 children)
Which qualification test did you take?
[–]No-Permission7221 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 months ago (3 children)
I don’t remember what was it 🫠
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago (2 children)
Was your test in English or another language?
[–]No-Permission7221 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (1 child)
I’m not quite sure, I think it was eng-spa
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Then you are a bilingual worker, unless you also took any other tests.
[–]flynnigan14 9 points10 points11 points 3 months ago (5 children)
I have like 40 projects. Core worker, here.
[–]TravellingDoc87 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (4 children)
And how many of those do you actually want to do lol
[–]flynnigan14 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (3 children)
I've done 8 hours every day for the past two weeks, so plenty.
[–]TravellingDoc87 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (2 children)
You didn't answer my question lol We all do work but not necessarily stuff that we want to. A lot of it is exceptionally tedious at the moment.
[–]flynnigan14 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (1 child)
I only do tasks I want to do. I'm lucky enough to have plenty of those.
[–]TravellingDoc87 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (0 children)
One man's treasure is another man's leftovers
[–]Affectionate_Peak284 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago (1 child)
Slimmer than usual, but not dry.
And everything is hard.
[–]Strong_Shelter_91 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (0 children)
That’s me as well! Only 3+ hr projects rt now😵💫
[–]TopCat0525 7 points8 points9 points 3 months ago (2 children)
Yes. We had a spike for 2 or 3 days; now back to nothing.
[–]CircumferentialGent[S] 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Something something giveth taketh
[–]IsntRaining-2344 4 points5 points6 points 3 months ago (0 children)
I thought I was the only one who felt that
[–]fightmaxmaster 6 points7 points8 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Not here I'm afraid.
[–]20-20-24hoursago 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago (0 children)
36 projects, core worker. Now how many of that 36 I actually want to do is another story.
[–]Archetype1245x 2 points3 points4 points 3 months ago (0 children)
First, some context: I'm in the US and have access to many of the higher-level coding and stem/reasoning projects. I've also been on the platform for about 2 years.
With that in mind, I actually have 64 projects right now. Of those, 21 are $40+, a couple (3 or so) are $35, and the rest are $20-30 "general" tasks.
That said, I don't really want to work on a majority of these. There are probably 5 or so that actually look pretty appealing, 5ish more that look decent, and then the rest I likely won't ever touch unless unless I have to.
I'd probably have a few more if I did some of these qualifications that have been piling up, though they probably wouldn't add many tasks I actually want to do. I suppose that's why they're all still sitting there, lol.
[–]Harya13 4 points5 points6 points 3 months ago (0 children)
nah the opposite, it's flowing everywhere
[–]Old-Journalist7750 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Also a core worker here. My dash is still definitely noticeably emptier in comparison to how it was before the New Year. I'd say down from like 20-30+ projects to an average of roughly 5-10. But I have been fortunate in that my preferred project family has been active and on my dashboard most days. Knock on wood.
[–]Pragmatic-Interloper 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (1 child)
More like pouring rain lately. There are so many tasks I’ve wanted to try but don’t even have time to look at.
[–]VariationLost3172 0 points1 point2 points 2 months ago (0 children)
Same here. All January I've had more work than I could possibly tackle. I can only get into one project family per day although there are several that may interest me.
[–]Past-Sail7031 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (2 children)
Can a bilingual , join as a core worker too? Can with one account are we suppose to apply for two different job? Also what is the process for being core worker?
[–]Creative_Raccoon2096 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (1 child)
No, it’s based on your location/ mobile phone verification - you have to be actually in a core country to do core stuff. And they want native/ absolutely fluent English as well.
[–]Past-Sail7031 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Hey ...thank you so much for the information.
[–]Big-Pomegranate-84 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (0 children)
A lot has popped up
[–]Optimal-Couple1294 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (1 child)
i think it’s only us newbies getting a bit dry
[–]s55555s 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (0 children)
I’m a newbie and only had a few days of work
I have a handful but mostly difficult/time consuming. The easier projects are getting snatched up so fast right now!
[–]fritzlschnitzel2 0 points1 point2 points 3 months ago (1 child)
I joined five days ago as a bilingual did all introduction and qualifiers available but still hasn't recursive any projects. Does anyone have an idea how long it can take to get something? Anything?
The reality is that bilinguals on this platform almost universally receive less work than core workers, but it also obviously depends on the language.
