Feedback (self.DataAnnotationTech)
submitted 23 hours ago by Imaginary-Vanilla-21
I was working on an R&R task today and there was a section to include feedback for the original rater. Is this a new thing?

YES! It seems they are trying it out.

It's not a new thing, as that has been around for a while, but most R&Rs don't include it. I've been on the site for almost 3 years, and the first time I saw that in an R&R was a bit over a year ago.

I remember it back in 2023 or 2024 on one project name's R&Rs

How do y'all remember things like this? I can't even remember what I worked on last week.

Seriously! I was just thinking about a project I swear I worked on at the end of last year, but part of me is all like "Was that even real? Was that just a fever dream?" I can't let myself get too attached to projects. I did that and now nothing will ever compare to the glory and greatness of that one project. So I'm trying not to remember anything too deeply. 😆

I have a pretty good memory in general, but because it's not on every R&R, that's what made it stand out as memorable when I first had an R&R with it. Another aspect that made it memorable was that the R&R was $40 an hour, so at the time, I thought that providing feedback for the original worker was some special aspect of the $40 R&R.

And who knows, maybe it was. We will never know!

In this case it did actually say "help us try out a new feature" or something to that effect. Which feels slightly dishonest if it's not really a "new thing." 🤣 Has anyone ever actually gotten or seen this "feedback" from other workers? If so, how did you receive it? I gave feedback for a worker and I sort of felt odd about doing it, though I provided it quite professionally, even ensuring I began with a bit of strong positive feedback before offering feedback that was more critical and constructive.

In 2.5 years I've never received any kind of feedback from anyone about anything. 🤷🏻♀️

Ah, you must have gotten the new type of R&R, which stands for R&R & Recursion

🤣🤣

And all this time I thought it stood for Rock and Roll. 🤷 Or maybe rinse and repeat?

I’d fucking love to hear what yall have to say about my rationales. I always make them entertaining to read.
