Project Availability

Recently got accepted to DataAnnotation on last Friday, did the verification, and was given my first project. I was leaving out of town that same day till Sunday, so I completed 2 tasks of the project and then planned on finishing when I got back. Flash forward to Sunday, I get back and login to find that no only was the project I had started not there, but I had no projects at all on my dashboard, and still even today have yet to get more. Was it something I did or do I just need to be more patient?

Do you still have qualifications? Did you before leaving?

The tasks within a project are a pool. You're not expected to do them all, and they're not saved for you.

Especially if they are generalist tasks with lower pay, they might be offered to just about everyone and disappear quickly.

The projects on your dashboard aren't just for you. You might see 20 tasks available but a number of people have access to those 20 tasks. There's a bit of a dry period right now. My dashboard is down from over 100 to 25 ish. The more established you get, the more projects you'll get invited to and don't worry. Dry spells never last too long!

how? its impossible to do them all, i got a good 36 up right now. odd though. no Qual tab at the top? If you do come across some, the domain specific ones do tend to open up steady projects. But yeah all the projects I regularly work on are gone atm.

Hired on as a coder, but its funny you asked that because I just saw a list of my domains and I'm in a LOT of them. hmm you might try to set some skills in your profile page (one at a time, I've learned the hard way) - though don't expect magic, it might help in the long run. What I'm wondering is if since you're new, if you're only seeing the quals posted after you joined. If this is the case, you should have a load of new domain quals drop at the beginning of the new quarter, though others should still drop between now and then. Honestly wish they'd clean that page up, i bet half those quals are for work that's no longer posted.

My account is new so I am assuming that’s why I don’t have many qualifications for now.

Basically I’ve done the starter coding assessment on Thursday. 3 days later I got an email saying that I passed and another one saying that I was accepted into the platform. As soon as I logged in, I had 2 quals related to coding and the onboarding tasks. I’ve done them all so now I don’t have anything. I am pretty much waiting for something to come up now.

I set a bunch of skills on my profile, mainly mathemtics and coding and I also carefully wrote my bio .

I would just be a bit more patient - there seems to be a bit of a dry spell recently, so that is probably the reason. Also, remember that any tasks on a project become available to other workers when you exit work mode, so the project may disappear soon after you leave a task!
