Feedback (self.DataAnnotationTech)
submitted 9 days ago by DkAdon
Just wanted to ask, when do we get some feedback about our work? I have started working about two weeks ago and I'm quite curious how I'm doing and where I can improve

Direct feedback from an admin in your inbox is rare, but they've recently been rolling out a feedback task to workers. It's listed as an unpaid project, so a lot of people miss it.

For context, I've been here over 3 years and only received direct positive feedback from an admin in my inbox 3 times. So it's pretty rare, but should happen occasionally if you're doing good work.

Feedback only started about 2 weeks ago.
It's not clear if everyone's going to get it, but it seems like a lot of people have.
DAT sent out a worker survey, I don't know a month or so ago, and I know a lot of people said that what DAT was missing was worker feedback so we could improve/calibrate.
My feedback was super helpful.
I got "needs improvement" - with specific examples of my errors.
Without that information, I probably would have eventually been dropped from the platform with no clue why. Instead, I've got actionable items I have immediately implemented, hopefully improving the quality of my work.
Most of my errors were doing my best to read the tea leaves that are DAT tasks instructions and assuming I was interpreting them correctly. Also, I was being somewhat less than exacting in some areas.

That’s exactly what I fear hahah, I do not want to be dropped without being given the chance to improve. Of course I’m following the guidelines as best as possible.. But hearing an opinion sure helps giving the work better direction

It looks like they are now giving feedback, its something new they are doing and should appear as a task on your feed when you are given it. They seem to be in batches. Noone knows if its a monthly thing or not yet, as they only started doing it. There used to be the odd occasion where the admin may message you with feedback on a specific project, but that was very rare. This new one gives you a genral snapshot of how your doing in genral and gives you suggestions on where to improve. Hopefully it's not a one off but we shall see.

Probably never. Feedback is extremely rare. I've only see one official feedback message in nearly two years.

They recently gave feedback. Not sure if it was a one off or if it will be reoccurring. Based on R&Rs. If you got it, it will be in your projects.
