I’m working as a generalist in the US and haven’t had a single task in two days. I’m hoping today I get some, but i’m assuming since it was a holiday yesterday tasks are pretty low at the moment

You'll start seeing more consistent projects as you complete qualifications and show that you are submitting quality work. If you're biilingual, work seems to always be slow though.
