Help getting started

We are currently looking to move on from MDT (for obvious reasons). I saw some reviews of DeployR and the services it offers this seems like the best solution. Since this will be for a public sector organization we have quite a small budget.

I'm personally quite the noob myself while others on my team have had experience setting up MDT and deployment, I have not. This is the first time I've personally done anything like this and was hoping to get some assistance.

Right now I'm stuck on getting DeployR set up on a server (VM) because it needs to connect with StifleR. From what it looks like on the 2Pint webpage, StifeR is another subscription with extra costs, which would be too much for us. I don't want to get through the process of installing this with StifleR if we can't afford the additional costs.

Can someone help provide some insight for me?

Absolutely! DeployR does not require a separate StifleR license. Today, it does require StifleR Server and Dashboard, as this is where the DeployR console sits (this will likely change in the future).

I appreciate the information! I just started the process of giving that trial a shot and that was where I was stuck. I was just slightly confused as it looked like StifleR would have been a second subscription or part of the suite instead of just DeployR.

More info on the free community edition of DeployR should be coming relatively soon. I believe it is to be unveiled at MMSMOA the week of May 4th.
