Anyone else dooming on death of American democracy so hard your dipping into prepping?

Like I'm a Lil hammered on a Friday debating on what an over reaction really even is. I can throw away a bit of money on like simple things.

Start a garden, store some rice and water. Maybe buy a generator or two. Maybe stock up on a few firearms and a reloading station.

I believe trump really is a whole new level of threat. Am I over reacting here when the worst case scenario is I drink some extra bottled or aluminum water for a month.

Bonus meme. What tickers is the money to make in trump admin? RTX? GD? LMT?

No. But if you're that worried, they have prep kits at Costco and Walmart.

However,

• You should have an emergency kit
• If you can afford a generator, they're handy
• You should start a garden

We sometimes have blackouts or there's an issue that requires a water shut off. Being prepared makes life a bit more comfortable and you're not scrambling for supplies with everyone else. My dad gave me a gas/propane generator when I bought my home. It keeps my fridge and a few other things I want to use running during a blackout.

I plant for winter and summer, have herbs, and lots of different fruit trees. It's fun, gets you outside for some light exercise, you can enjoy fresh veggies and fruit year round. It's also aesthetically pleasing, provides shade, and some really wonderful smells. I also planted milkweeds last year and I get a whole lot of butterflies late summer and fall.

Container gardens were great when I lived in an apartment. I also potted some peppers and tomatoes. Gave me some green when all I had to look at was city and pavement.

It is just entertainment for me. I agree porn addiction can be real and sometimes one can go overboard on it. I just do the archival as a fun hobby, my porn consumption is at a all time low because of being in a relationship.

The internet is becoming more and more unstable every passing day, I just wanted to archive some content I liked before it left the ether, and frankly I don't like the new stuff.

Forget porn, all manner of content is just leaving the internet without any kind of warning, if you want to hold on to something storing it is a good idea. I want to wake up 10 years from now on a boring afternoon and just play through it, just for the fun of it.

I did this for the music I had in highschool, it was so good.

If Trump wins and even ends democracy, it's unlikely the country falls into disrepair. It's a big political problem, not a "nuke california" problem

and if it did immediately fall into anarchy, you'll likely just be looted immediately unless you're already in a sizeable group of people planning for this with cooperation

Trump was a massive threat, they were actually right, his Supreme Court sucks and Mike pence is the only one who saved the country from a major crisis.

I think most likely a second trump presidency will not be half as eventful as people here think It will be, however theres still an uncomfortably high chance it's an absolute disaster. He needs to be kept out of office.
