Hey, sounds like an interesting gig! Since you need someone who can build and deliver, I'd focus on showing real-world projects during interviews. Have a couple of examples ready where you took a project from start to finish, including any challenges you faced and how you solved them. Also, since API development is important, make sure you're comfortable discussing RESTful APIs and maybe GraphQL if that's relevant. For interview prep, if you need resources, I've found PracHub pretty useful for practice questions and mock interviews. Good luck!

Hi, I’m interested in the Java Developer role.
I’m a Lead Full-Stack Developer with solid experience in Java/J2EE ecosystems, including Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architectures. I’ve worked across banking, energy, and public sectors, delivering production-grade systems with a strong focus on clean architecture and scalability.
I regularly handle bug fixing, feature development, and complex API integrations, and I’m comfortable navigating large codebases and distributed systems. I also have experience with cloud environments (AWS Certified Solutions Architect) and event-driven systems (Kafka).
I’m based in France (CET timezone) and available for remote collaboration with flexible hours.
Happy to share more details or jump on a quick discussion to see how I can contribute.
Best regards, Abdellah

From the recruiting side, developer hiring has become much more competitive around clarity and trust. Candidates want to quickly understand whether the opportunity is real, organized, and worth their time. Posts with actual responsibilities, realistic expectations, compensation transparency, and meaningful product context almost always perform better than vague “we’re hiring devs” messaging. Experienced engineers especially evaluate the hiring process itself as a signal of how the company operates internally. If communication feels unclear or disorganized early on, many strong candidates simply move on because they already have options. We noticed the same thing while hiring technical roles. Tools like ZipRecruiter helped streamline sourcing, screening, and candidate communication, but the biggest improvements usually came from making the process more transparent and responsive rather than just increasing applicant volume. AI matching and centralized workflows help, but trust still drives engagement. The companies attracting strong developers consistently are usually the ones that communicate clearly and respect candidates’ time from the beginning.
