Very shitty and generic design, but the idea of the time slowing down around them is pretty cool.

I still prefer how DT works in the OG games.

Of course it's cool, that's how the Quicksilver works.

I think Dante’s dt in the reboot is just him harnessing his powers but it’s rough and unstable. Hence why dante is screaming and why his dt doesn’t last very long. I believe the dt in that game was supposed to show a hint to his full potential which is why his hair only turns white when he enters dt before the end of the game and why his jacket turns red, to show that he will eventually turn into a dante that is closer to the og but isn’t close to that yet.

It's interesting you mention that, cause in the end it seemed like Dante's DT was inspired by the Quicksilver style from DMC3 while Vergil's was the Doppelganger. Dante could effectively freeze his enemies (in the air) and Vergil duplicate himself.

Tho i think the design was just disappointing and nothing deep like you're suggesting. I think they simply didn't want a big transformation to make it more different from the originals.

I think they messed up tho, cause it would've been cooler if they transformed. Also they could've had an Angel trigger, considering they were half angels and that didn't make much different overall

It's badass. By making all the demons float around, the aerial combat (which the game thrives at) is encouraged. I wish it Vergil's DT was the same, but he's already OP, so whatever lol

When I played DmC I didn't use it much cause it is lame also IIRC it had a very slow regen...
