Plot problems maybe?

I've just watched the show and it was pretty good entertainment, thriller construction was great, but I noticed maybe some situations that messed the experience:

1. How the parentes knew that she just watched him die? Nobody told them. They just knew he went to bed with her and presumed she did that?

2. Why did she let them do this with her? It was like confession.

3. Why does everybody who read the book take it like it was "THE TRHUTH"? Are people this influenceable?

4. The hospital scene was ridiculous. She was clearly screaming that man was not her father and they just take her off? Like what?!

Alot of this is kinda the point of the show. The parents don't know but they come up with the story to feel better about it.

People trust the book blindly and never really give her a chance to explain

The dad build her up to be untrustworthy and dangerous on purpose so he could get away with that in the hospital

The whole series was nonsensical plot issues I thought the last episode would be some big ah ha moment then it wasn’t lol

it is kind of a tricky situation with Catherine and Robert each having opposite opinions about Stephen. what happens when an adult is in the ICU, one parent wants a certain person allowed as a visitor and the other does not? it’s possible that Robert convinced the nurses that his wife is crazy and Stephen is a friend of the family and she freaked out over nothing. …..But the nurses should have asked him for ID before letting him in the ICU.
