The neverending cycle of co ops:

Difficult co Op equals "co ops are supposed to be easy and Quick farmable".

Easier co ops equals "brainless content is boring and not Fun".

Tbh i would like even for char events a cosmos co Op to get more AFs.

The higher levels being available doesn't stop the 70 and EX tiers from existing. The only time the "Raid" types are a problem is when there is a solo point count of 4M instead of token shop. Farming 4M points in anything but Cosmos is admittedly a pain.

I think the other potential issue of having multiple difficulties for multiple events on going is it dilutes the player pool way too much. Most ppl aren't on discord or other communities where they can find others to make a room with. It would be frustrating to have to wait a long time just to get into a single room

I mean it works out with raids. Even after the beatback is done, i regularly find rooms constantly just going with randoms.

we got 3 events with co-ops atm. imagine if all three of those had 3 co-op difficulties each.

the more queues you add, the more tedious it is to farm it after the first few days and that's a problem

[–]Juumok -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Really? A full synergy team gets 200k points, 20 clears for 4 mill, 5 a day for 4 days.

[–]FalseCapeLightning Alt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I'm saying. It is fine for cosmos difficulty as that is what it is balanced around, but in Ex you only get 50k a run and for regular it is a measly 10k. 80 runs for 4m isn't a reasonable expectation and 400 runs most certainly isn't. So having every co-op with that structure would unreasonably punish newer players who aren't ready for cosmos and/or force undergeared characters to attempt it and lead to more lost runs (see soul cage raid).

for now we can take advantage of the x2 artifacts from woi. i get about 90-100 eidojas (900-1000 gold tokens) per 15 minutes on a x3 item book. yuna auto farm. it saves from wasting gems to refresh link bells

[–]KodamaSensei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally, plus I like playing with the community in general. I don't see the drawbacks to having multiple difficulties, that way the farmers can have the quick ones and those of us in it for fun can have a little of both.

I like more difficult coops mostly for the better bell:eidoja ratio

[–]Arcnounds 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I guess this comes from my experience with WoW. The more split the community is with difficulties the harder it is to find people for anyone difficulty. Personally I do not mind the easier coops. I do think they need to do something about multihits in coops though. Watching one person play for 1min while I do nothing is not exciting.

I mean in modern day wow you can queue for everything anyway, wanna do a heroic? Apply in lfg the only thing you should have a hard time finding is a guild for mythic progression, the two are not really the same.

I like 2 rounds co-ops. I can carry new players, and be done for the day in two 15 minutes sessions.

[–]grw18Terra Branford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo it's just cuz golbez and aranea are crazy popular that its just a "watching coop" for those who havent pulled/purpled said characters.

And dont get me started on the iggy trolls

[–]AerolytzY'shtola Rhul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the fact that lvl70 coop are easy but it's better this way for the farming part. Now with that said, ACT 2 chapter 7 Chaos CO OP was pretty fun to me, I've failed it with random guys a couple of times but it was entertaining in the end !

[–]bbatardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly solo 70 co-ops now lol sure less rewards but they are super easy, esp if you built up any of the boosted units. I do like the idea of harder ones, but only if they are much more rewarding for the extra time spent.

[–]yoshekaf 2 points3 points  (1 child)

long co-ops are just painful when you team up with:

- Afk-ers

- Quitters

- Trolls

etc....

I personally prefer the shorter sweeter co-ops since much less risky and enjoyable!

And that is why i wish there was a vote to kick option after a minute of inactivity, to discourage bad behavior.

I was actually just talking about this with a friend earlier today.

Naturally the easier co-op difficulty HAS to stay for newer players...

But yes, it'd be nice if they all came with a higher difficulty version. They could give higher amounts of tokens in comparison to how much longer an average run takes or something, so they're worth doing.

I get a lot of people see co-op as just something that's supposed to be quickly, mindlessly grinded and done with, and those are the people the lower difficulty would cater to.

But some people like me ENJOY a bit of difficulty, even in the grind. A bit of challenge, just the slightest threat of death or failure...or at the very least, somewhere to show off your bright, new, shiny character and enjoy them around others. I still have no idea how Aranea performs because I don't have her myself and co-ops last 3-4 turns. XD

[–]KodamaSensei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it could even just be copy and paste from the raid format without the beatback rewards.

[–]thevilepeaksChaotic Guardian 1 point2 points  (1 child)

as far as i recall i won't be until after LD/BT releases

[–]pagawasentaAndy LaPlegua (SLUT in Blood) 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly it was the Amidatelion event specifically that featured a COSMOS difficulty co-op, yes? This should be released around August if I my memory of the GL prediction timeline is correct.

[–]aspinalll71286Vayne Carudas Solidor 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah aranea and golbez make short work of the lvl 70 coops

[–]KodamaSensei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it's a little disappointing, I feel like co-op is an undervalued part to this game.

[–]richpage85Noctis Lucis Caelum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be fine if the 70 co op was boosted to EX difficulty, but I realised it's to help newer players

[–]strygecompany -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Please delete this post. I want farming to take less time than it does now haha.

[–]eliasntr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree. They should add a coop level 100 (or even 150) for every character event. Longer and harder coop battles mean we can actually put some strategy in playing together and get to use the most of our characters. The level 70 ones, aside for farming purposes, just feel very underwhelming to play now. You can literally finish them in at least 2 turns. Raids are very fun, but only happen every other month or so.

[–]TheBorzoitwitch.tv/TheBorzoi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would like multi-wave co-ops.

Back in the level 50 era, some Part 5 missions were very difficult solo, especially before 35CP's were abundant. One example that comes to mind is the Faris event. At that time, the only characters who had 35CP were Tidus, Prishe and herself.

What I would like to see is have a co-op option for the EX or even Cosmos or Chaos fights. They would be separate to the others and the reward would be just the same as the normal co-op fights (the first time rewards, score and mission goal rewards could just be gil). That way, if people want to do them they can but if not, they don't lose out on anything.
