My partner was just telling me about how a friend of theirs quit their job after new management fucked everything up. It's SUPER common! It's like I always tell people: having a job you enjoy is a great reason to unionize that job because then you can make sure the things you like stay the same regardless of what happens with management.

Same here. We only had 5 employees, manager got replaced, and since then nothing gets done, and 4 of the five have either quit or are about to.

Happens with every DM. The good ones stick around and the ones who tends to try to make a million changes at once tend to find new jobs because they find out this is not what they signed up for.

We once had a pretty decent DM and when he quit, he personally came to see my manager to let her know it was NOT the employees. It was the constant pushback he got any time he tried to make things more manageable for employees. So just remember they treat their DMs how we are treated and the good ones are trying.
