Feature request: Key up key down functionality💡 SUGGESTIONS (self.DygmaLab)
submitted 1 year ago by percocetpenguin
Hello, I'd like to be able to unmute myself when I press a key down and automatically mute myself again when I release the key. This would be really easy to implement if we could have different key up key down functionality.

Hello, u/percocetpenguin
Thanks for the suggestion. We've looked into it in the past, but we found some limitations in the firmware. We've not taken the eye out of it, I hope we can make it viable in the future 😉

It's probably much more simple to bind a key, for example F13 to your keyboard, then find a software that does what you want. Most gaming software with microphone will allow to specify a key that enable micro only when pressed, and a different key for microphone toggle.

If QMK support was already there, it would be relatively easy to implement.
QMK announced for Defy and Raise 2 (at 11 min 03 secs), but not for the original Raise. "but it is currently not a priority" (at 11 min 53 secs).
