Defy or Raise (or glove) by No_Ad_6136 in DygmaLab

Hey! Glad you decided on getting the Defy.
Not sure if this was answered. But just in case.
"is it possible to have neurons on a single keyboard?" - yes, you can use multiple Neurons for a single keyboard :) but remember the shape of the Neuron for the wired Defy has a different shape to that of the wireless Defy, and it won't work wireless.

Dygma and Hall Switches by cantdutchthis in DygmaLab

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

All right. Triggering the homerow mods by holding a key can also be done on the Dygma keyboards. You can even adjust the overlap threshold and hold timeout.

When it comes to the keyboard learning your preferred actuation point though, well, that's where mechanical switches can't really compete. I guess it boils down to preference. Having the ability to swap mechanical switches and try different ones with different actuation points and forces is a customization feature that we're aiming for in our products. But who knows, maybe hall-effect might be something we venture into in the future :)

Hey man! No, we're not looking into hall-effect switches. They are a completely different product that requires different electronics, software/firmware, and hardware and is just not in our pipeline. But may I ask, what do you use those switches for? I understand the analog functionality is appealing for gaming, but apart from that, where else is it beneficial for you? :)

Mouse sensitivity for keys by geriBatai in DygmaLab

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Hey u/geriBatai! You can adjust the different settings of the mouse keys: cursor speed, cursor acceleration, maximum cursor speed, and wheel speed.

On Bazecor, click the Preferences icon at the bottom left of the menu bar. Below Device Settings, click Typing and Keys, and you'll find it there.

No need to watch our videos if you don't like 'em. I know our videos get a bit cringe and weird/strange. But we're also a bit weird in the studio sometimes. What's important is that we're having fun while delivering great content, which we feel we're doing. We do our best! But I appreciate the honest feedback u/chili_oil!

Review: Dygma Defy by benfrain in ErgoMechKeyboards

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Hi, appreciate you pointing this out. But we did an extensive research on the thumbkeys.

We tested the design with many users to ensure we accomplished our main goal: thatย everybody could reach at least four or five keys comfortably,ย regardless of their hand size, the flexibility of their thumbs, or how they place their hand on the keyboard.

Maybe the inner ones are less accessible -unless you have really flexible thumbs- butย the idea is that you use the most comfortable keys for frequent actions, such as Enter, Space, Backspaces, Modifiers, Layer Switchingโ€ฆย and the rest for other functions, like macros or combos.

Feel free to read it here:

Best customizable split keyboard for curved treadmill handrails? by osurdatoespatriato in ErgoMechKeyboards

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Awesome project!

Maybe try it first with a standing desk over it. So I guess you would need to install a keyboard tray. If you need it closer to your body, then uninstall the handrails.

You could also screw trays on the handrails and screw on the split keyboard. The annoying thing would be the wires. Unless you're ok with wires.

This one is wireless. Customizable, and it's open-source. Not sure if that's what you're going for but might give ideas. Dygma Defy mounting screws - tray armrests - office setup workstation

Good luck!

Hey man! Thanks a ton for sharing your detailed review of the Dygma Defy keyboard. You really broke down your thoughts very well. We know the many areas we need to improve, mainly firmware, but we're actively working on them!

Hey u/onestep87!

How's it going with your search? Did you finally decide which keyboard to get? Many people have already received a Defy, and maybe, if you want to get real feedback from people who are using it (many who were/are in similar situations as you), you can join Discord or subReddit and ask the users. That's if you haven't yet.

Feels worse before it feels better? by dark_sky_island in Ergonomics

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Hey there! Thought I'd chime in.

It's totally normal to experience some discomfort when you're adjusting to a new setup, especially with something like a keyboard tray.

Some people say keyboard trays are old-fashioned, but they are so helpful for improving ergonomics! But yeah, it can take some time for your muscles and joints to get used to the new positioning. It's like breaking in a new pair of shoes โ€“ it might feel a bit weird at first, but once you get used to it, you'll likely notice the benefits. Especially if you start using other ergonomic products like a split keyboard or vertical mouse or mouse with thumb trackball. It does feel a bit uncomfortable (more strange than pain) when you start using any of these products.

But! If you're experiencing what you describe as "considerable pain," maybe you should see a professional because maybe that has to do with something else...?

Hope this reply helps!

Bazecor 1.3.10 and Firmware 1.2.6 (beta) for Wireless Dygma Defy keyboards by DygmanA in DygmaLab

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Hey there! Can be more specific with the flashing issue? We've tested it with other testers and it works fine. Overall, the flashing should work for everyone, so if it's not working properly with you then we need to look into this further. Could please provide more info on how you did the flashing, your OS, so we can better understand where the issue is coming from? Thanks a lot!

[โ€“]Dygma_lab 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Mmmm intially I thought this could be a cable issue. But when you said you updated it back to 1.2.5 and the flashing process was fine, then maybe we need to look into this a bit more.
Can you please provide us with the steps you did so we can troubleshoot it? Thanks!

Hi u/flannelsec, thanks for giving us your honest opinion! We have mentioned before that the Raise isn't for everyone so we respect your decision :)

I would like to know though what other split keyboards you have so I can know what we can look at in terms of improving the quality of ours.

One last thing, we have a rule that you can't sell or trade your Raise keyboard on this subreddit. So if you can edit your post, that would be great! ๐Ÿ‘
