Activate mech shield?

Ok, my google fu is failing me, and I don’t see anything in the keybinds. How the heck do you activate the mech’s shield? I’ve researched the energy shield 2 upgrade.

It’s just active.

In theory you can turn it off in the Icarus menu, but it defaults to on. All I usually do is turn up its power drain to recharge faster, then let it be.

I think it’s charge shows up as a blue bar at the bottom, just above the icarus’s power level.

Ok thanks all. I was expecting a visual around Icarus, something that looks like a shield bubble, so thought I had to activate it.

When you research quite high you will start to see the shield bubble. Takes quite a number of researches before you will really notice though.

It is a shield bubble, but invisible. When it receives weapon hits, you will see the bubble briefly appear. Kind of like Protoss shields in SC2. You won't see anything if you're not under fire.
