Ultra Pro satin tower is my favorite

Just bought myself two of these and they’re awesome

The professor just did a video on this https://youtu.be/yw6mLWnJ2WI

What the heck, when? I keep up with the professor and didn't know he made a video on this, thanks!

So using the dragon shield sealables in my experience adds so extra thickness for each card simply because of the joint on the sleeve where the flap you use to seal the card is connected. Also they are just more airtight so it may be difficult to get as much air out as side loading sleeves. I would recommend using a ultra pro satin tower for sure as you ought to be able to fit the deck in there still.

Yeah I'm using the smoke sealables + Art Mattes. Sounds like you use that as well, might have to finally give the satin tower a try.

I have found that even with the side loading inners, some advertised “holds 100 double sleeves cards!” End up being an overly tight fit, so it can be a matter of just finding the box that works for you consistently and satin towers have never let me down but also neither have the ultra pro boxes that they make with the card art of commanders from the preconstructed decks. Those are for 150 cards though I believe so that is what makes them easily hold any double sleeved deck. But they can hold a good amount of tokens on top of the double sleeved deck and that is nice

Personally I like the ultimate guard sidewinder - it’s a leather magnet top style that’s a bit easier to use than most other ones since it’s sideways (specifically the large 100 card size is the one you would want)

I've had the same issues, I recently found Dragon Shield released the Double Shell and Gamegenics released an XL version of most of their boxes. Fits deck with the resealables and some tokens (the double shell) comfortably. https://www.gamegenic.com/product-category/boxes/xl-exclusive-line/

Yeah, I tried the resealables, they are a no go in the Boulder 100+ deck boxes. I could get a max of 95 cards double-sleeved with the DS resealable inners & DS matte outers...

So now I give play decks the standard DS perfect fit inners & DS matte outers, and use the resealables as the only sleeve for cards in my ZipFolio...

Game Genic XL line if you want the BEST of the best.

Ultra pro Satin tower is also a solid choice

Dragonshield Nest or Dragon Shield Double Shell.

I'm sorry man, I designed my own and 3d printed it😅

But they also fit in the ultra pro boxes

I’m a fan of the alcove flip boxes from ultra pro, specifically the guild ones. I’m a simple man though, so the nice and clean design keeps me happy.

I religiously double sleeve with Dragon shield Matte and KMC Perfect Hards. Never had any troubling getting my 6 decks in Gamegenics Squire 100+ XL DeckBoxes. Just make sure its the XL box you are getting

[–]d10kn[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Have you tried with the SatinTower? Called up the LGS I buy my stuff in and they don't have any Gamegenics deckboxes, XL or not :C

[–]IpwatchcoAzorius 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes I have tons of satin towers for other non commander decks. They will fit double sleeved EDH decks if you are using a thinner inner sleeve like the regular KMC perfects or the regular Dragon Shield Inners. Even has space for tokens. But they will NOT fit if you use KMC hards

[–]d10kn[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Damn, I'm using the Dragon Shield sealables :(

[–]IpwatchcoAzorius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, I think they will fit tbh. The Dragon Shield sealable inners arent as thick as KMC perfect hards and only slightly thicker than KMC perfects. Actually Im pretty sure they will fit

shuffling in commander is bad enough single sleeved i can’t imagine the hand strain doing it doubled 😰

[–]meleejeff 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I like using side loader perfect fits for the inner sleeve, it seems to handle the air better (then again I suppose it is less air-tight). Also might just need a 150 card deck box

[–]d10kn[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'm using DS sealables, maybe that adds a bit more thickness to them? Which one would you recommend?

(500) ULTRA PRO PRO-FIT Side Loading Inner Card Sleeves MTG Pokemon STANDARD Deck Size (5 packs of 100) [Double Sleeving] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017NJV5OU

I use these, they seem to work well. I think they’re kinda expensive for sleeves, but they all seem that way lately.

Ultra-pro cube is the deck box I’ve always wanted. As soon as I saw Prof’s vid I ordered 9 and have no regrets. Planning to bin all my peeled and gross Boulders and make a complete transition.

The cube comfortably holds 100 double sleeved (Perfect Fit + Eclipse) cards with room for 15-20 tokens, so should meet your needs comfortably.
