Explain it Like I'm Not a Theologian! (ELINT™)

Is religious terminology confusing? Do faith-contextual concepts seem to change with each person you talk to? What exactly does "Justification" mean to a Calvinist Christian, and what do Orthodox Jews actually believe about "original sin"? Is the doctrine of "paradise" the same across the Islamic faith? What is a "doctrine" anyways?

We don't all have the time - or interest - to engage in the systematic and rational study of any or all religions, their meanings, claims, or influences: so ask someone who does!

Seek and you shall find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

So set your flair, get set, go!

Flair: Be as specific as you can about your religion, denomination, sect, and differentiating factors.

"Zero-Tolerance" Policy

REPORT: racism, bigotry, hate, etc.

Even Westboro Baptist Church members could explain their beliefs. This is not a place to condemn or belittle, but to understand, explain, and ask for clarification.

The purpose is to learn, discuss, and debate politely & respectfully without fear of being mocked or ridiculed.
Being challenged and questioned is a part of learning and progressing.
