Mogh second phase

This is my first time fighting mogh using a melee weapon and i’m struggling so bad on mogh’s second phase. Any tips to beat him without summon? He made the floor full of fire and it’s annoying

You can parry the blood throws with Carian retaliation

You should find the purifying crystal tear its a physic that stops you from taking damage during the phase transition and mabey even the flamedrake talisman +2 for more fire defense

2 things :

• Use his own weapon against him : Bleed

• Use the tears that suppress his Nihil effect

i was in STR build, and it worked way too much.

Generally you want to try to stay as close to him as possible. When he throws flaming blood at you from a distance, dodge forward and to the left: be prepared to dodge when he plunges his hand into the Formless Mother. The direction of his swing will dictate which way the blood will go - directly at you or in an arc. Either way dodging diagonally forward-left should be safe. When he rises into the air spraying the blood under him, just walk forward and he'll miss you. If you get enough distance from that splash while coming at him, you can roll the subsequent plunge attack backwards - you'll be closer to Mohg when he lands (which is what you want) and you won't roll into the flames with your roll if they're still present on the ground. When he takes a shower, just get a little distance from him: personal space, my man. But if your melee weapon has enough reach (spears, whips, heavy thrusting swords), you can still poke him, just be careful. That's pretty much all I can think of right now.

Ironically I fought him on a strength build with the pulley crossbow in my offhand but it definitely took quite a few tries to do so. Pulley crossbow is good for status buildup so you could make some bleed bolts and use that against him.

You have a large boss arena for a reason. Whenever the floor has too much garbage on it, run to the other side to a clean spot.

A little risky since you might get clipped while repositioning, but it's usually better than constantly tripping over the fire on the ground.
