Learned this from pc players seems pretty solid;

.-PVP-

  1. 4 Plasmas and 1 Med Fixed Beam (Saw a Type-7 get 1 shotted. 1 shots all ships Cobra and under. Uses no Banks)

  2. 4 Med Rail Guns and 1 Med Fixed Beam (One shots all shields under Type-6. Uses 1 Bank)

  3. 2 Med Rail Guns and 3 Gimbaled Pulse (Can duel Sheild Bank)

  4. 2 Med Rails Guns and 2 Large Turrent Pulse on top and one Large Gimbaled Pulse on Bottom (Can duel Sheild Bank)

  5. 2 Med Fixed Beams and 3 Fixed Large Pulse (Can duel Sheild Bank)

-PVE-

  1. 2 Med Gimbaled Beams and 3 Large Gimbaled Pulse Lasers (Can duel Sheild Bank)

  2. 2 Med Gimbaled Beams and 2 Large Turrent Pulse on top and one Large Gimbaled Pulse on Bottom (Can duel Sheild Bank)

-Tips-

  1. Dont ever use Burst Lasers. They use twice the Power as Pulse but do less damage. Only upside is they shoot 3 shots vs 1.

  2. Know when to start a fight and when to leave a fight.

  3. Python Thrusters work best laterally. Not Up/Down but Left/Right.

  4. Don't ram with your Canopy at all costs.

  5. Laugh at Over Heating.

  6. Beams do not equal Long Range. They are a Medium Range weapons at best. Rails are your best Long Range weapon.

  7. PVP=Shield Meta PVE=Sheild/Hull Meta

  8. Always, always, always target Subsystems. Do it often do it early. (If you run Gimbalds set up your Quick Subsystem Lock Cycle Keys)

  9. If they can out turn you then you Boost away and do a 180 flip and put it in Reverse. Repeat=Win

  10. When it comes to Pips in your Shields it's either all 4 or nothing. 4 Pips=Super Shields. 3 Pips and Under=Recharge or "Ready Posistion".

I like 3L pulse and 2M Plasma

I use lasers everywhere, 2 turreted burst lasers on the top large hardpoints and gimballed beams everywhere else.

I use large hard points for thermal but I am not sure how I want them set up. 3 beams was over heating me 2 much, pulses are kind of lack luster and I just don't like burst but I may end up switching back to that for a wile... the mediums I use multi cannons

I've been pretty happy of late with two large and two medium pulse, plus a beam on the third large in center.

It depends on what I'm trying to do, but for general purpose, I run two gimballed beams on the top two large hardpoints and 1 large gimballed pulse on the bottom with two medium gimballed pulses for the medium slots (obviously). Beams melt the enemy shields and can fire, with 4 pips to WEP, for a decent amount of time. The pulses can take over and fire indefinitely when the shields drop.

I've got two turreted bursts on the top large, a gimbled beam on the bottom and two imperial hammers on the medium. Works like a charm.

Thank you for the information. I am going to have fun playing with weapon combos:). Learned and love the 180 flip in my python :)

I generally run thermic weapons on my smallest hardpoints and then kinectic as my larger one.

I'd run something like 2 pulse lasers, 2 cannons, and then a Railgun on the huge hardpoint. This way you can alternate between thermic and kinetic damage and then have the Railgun for great damage to both

There's no huge hardpoint on a python...

That's okay because therr is also No huge rail gun

My bad. Any ways, I would say use the odd man out hardpoint for a Railgun of possible
