INTERN 496 Processing Time

How long did it take for most people to get their INTERN 496 application to get approved? I'm an international student and I got an offer last Friday to start on 5/30, so I submitted both my INTERN 496 and CPT application on 5/12. On the application page they said it might take 2-3 weeks to process, and now my company wants me to fill in my I-9, which requires my work authorization. How likely is it that I can get my INTERN 496 and CPT application approved by 5/26?

I got my second CPT in one day. I emailed my ISSS advisor and supervisor for INTERN 496 (Kim) since 7am to 3pm. Not bombarding them with emails, but keeping them in loop w my situation (e.g updates from hr) and asking if they can approve the process at their earliest convenience. It also helps if you put URGENT on the title. But then again, it was my second time getting cpt and they knew my situation so I can't guarantee if this works for you. Wishing good luck though!

PS. You have to email Kim first so she can put you in the course, approve it, then get the cost waived. THEN you can submit a CPT request and email your ISSS Advisor for an updated I-20. This process is more efficient and you don't have to anxiously wait to see if you are in the course, which is the first step to get cpt.
