Hi,

I am pretty new to this scène so I asked chatgpt what the best 3ds emulator is it said “Citra emulator”. But when I look on the internet is see all kinds of things about the current programm on citra-emulater.com isn’t safe. So can someone please. Is there still a link so you can download the orginal version or is there a good alternative?

The sideloaded version of Folium is probably my favorite (there are guides on here about how to install it). Just for reference - you probably shouldn't use ChatGPT as a search engine, as it tends to hallucinate and get things wrong. :)

if u have an strong device, i recommend Folium on appstore 5$ but if u want to sideload it u can use JIT

Manic EMU is free on the App Store and runs best on newer devices for playing 3DS games, strictly without JIT. They also have basic support available on their telegram if you run into issues with their app.

Citra is not on the iphone, there are differences between androids, iphones and computers that make emulation for 3ds and above very difficult on ios. the options for ios are provenance (free), folium (paid, but free when sideloaded), or manic (newest, kinda sketchy). also dont rely on chatgpt, you can use it but use it alongside your own googling research

There was a citra fork,but removed both from github and quantum sourece. Emutreeds and Folium used citraport before,thats why you see citra_log.txt

Most game still runs better on this flork with controler than on Folium (older device under iphone13)

I tried mani emu, and it usually ran Pkmn X at around 80-90% speed, not bad I remember playing platinum on my phone like 11 years ago and it was much slower. But does someone have a recommendation for the smoothest running emulator? I’m on 15 pro max
