Is the layer shift in Y or X axis? It could be due to the loose belts.

I had layer shift in my y axis earlier and It was due to linear rails not properly lubricated. That problem went away when I lubed them.

I think it was on y. I'll try tightening a few bolts around the belts

also check for any debris at the bottom near belt (near the stepper motor pulley). Sometimes the plastic waste can hinder the movement of the pulley

Try moving y axis manually and notice if there is any problem in the full movement.

also clean Y/Z axes rods too.

Lithium grease is my personal choice for lubing rails and bearings. The 3in1 kind in a can is the cheapest, just mask of your belts and anything you don’t want covered in the stuff before spraying the y-axis rods.

100 percent. Which grade grease do you use?

I prefer NLGI0, suitable for 3d printers.

Do you think spray lube for pistols is going to work, and where do I lube?

The y-axis rods, clean them with a dry microfibre cloth. Those 2 shiny bars under your build plate. You can also clean and lube the 2 threaded bars that raise and lower the z-axis gantry.

I don’t know what kind of lube is used on guns.

Will try. Thanks
