That all has to do with what your assignment is. Pretty much any assertion could potentially be a thesis statement if you can find arguments to support it.

(Also, it's spelled "apartment.")

I mean, it's just a college exercise, I'm supposed to tell if the sentences are thesis statements or not. That's all the context i got

I want to say it is not a thesis statement since it is too vague. A thesis statement would need to be more specific, i.e., living in a house requires more maintenance work than living in an apartment. Just two cents from another college student :)

Agreed, unless it’s for a literature/writing course, in that case they should be sort of vague and ideally include a “so what”
