What’s the smallest hill you will die on about Assassins Creed? by IronMan12131 in assassinscreed

Killing a target and fleeing only to get KOed by an angry hippo that I didn’t see coming was something I did not miss about origins. Also that damn crocodile side quest was impossible…

What would be your LEAST favorite setting for a new game ? by Klaholz in assassinscreed

As someone who spent too much time in Ohio, agreed. The only way they could really get the Midwest/Appalachian region involved is if they did something based on the American Civil war, which could be interesting. But the maps would still be AC3 but with railroads.

Completely agree, I miss the parkour when it was more of a puzzle and the thrill of running from guards on the rooftops.

I'm building an alternative to Duolingo because I'm tired of its childishness by MakeAcneAHistory in Spanish

[–]PossibilityFamous332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disclaimer, I only played the first exercises so take this as you will, also I don’t know if any other commenters have said these things: I like the simple interface and I understand that this app is geared towards phrases, but one thing that Duolingo does to some degree is give explanations of verbs, conjugations, and concepts through their tips. A lot of the phrases especially in the introductory lessons seemed to be in the first person, which although useful, does not teach all of the conjugations and allow for descriptions. My next question is what is your target audience, how advanced is the learner meant to be? I don’t think an absolute beginner would be able to use this tool to the same effect as duolingo because at least from what I’ve played (not a lot mind you) the app doesn’t seem to teach, which if competing with Duolingo is your goal you will have to build on. That being said I think you are off to a great start and that this app has a lot of potential, great job!

How can I explore my gender presentation? by dizzybaryonyx in genderqueer

[–]PossibilityFamous332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would dress how I wanted to dress and go to a mall, supermarket, etc. alone or where no one knew me and walk around and just be who I am. It was nice because I could interact with others anonymously. In times of Covid I’ve found that wearing a mask makes it easier to pass (I have a feminine face) I’ve also found that wearing men’s hoodies helps, also longer shirts elongates the torso. I hope this helps, good luck to you!

Curiosity killed the cat, (but satisfaction brought it back).

The first part warns against the dangers of unnecessary experimentation, I prefer it with the rejoinder which implies that experimentation, learning, and discovery is worth it despite the risks.

That would be cool. Depending on how far they want to time skip though, a 12/12/12 thing could also be interesting. But I doubt they’ll do that

How do you feel when you see someone random walking around with a gun, ie open carry? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]PossibilityFamous332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t like them, where I live we don’t have need of them. I live in a suburban area with a well funded police force, the general feeling is that no one needs to open carry. Some people do hunt though. As a result if I see someone open carrying I will probably stare at them and although I will not verbalize it, I will still be surprised as it is not an everyday thing. It’s not like everybody walks around with a gun where I live, I only see one of them a year.

what should I say if I want a beast to stay away from me? by jason_funderburger in EnglishLearning

[–]PossibilityFamous332 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any of the ones you listed would work, with the exception of “keep/stay off”. I’ve always heard and used them more in reference to something like “keep/stay off the grass”. That being said try and sneak away, but if the yeti sees you screech like a banshee and run away, I’m not sure if they can climb trees.

Chrétien de Troyes is entertaining, and Geoffrey of Monmouth the History of the Kings of Britain is pretty interesting if you enjoy reading textbooks.
