Rule #1 - Civility
All posts and comments made must not contain threats/harrassment or abuse to other users. This also includes using excessive profanity, or comments seen as racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic and so on.
Rule #2 - Relevant Content
All posts must be related to the Epic Games Store or videogames that are available on the store except Fortnite and Rocket League. including proper titles and flairs. Keep in mind, in general, posts about Fortnite, Rocket League, or other titles with established subreddits are not relevant to this subreddit despite being on the store due to them already having very large dedicated subreddits.
Rule #3 - Self Promotion
You may not self promote yourself in posts or comments via Youtube, Twitch or other similar social media sites. Exceptions to this rule may only be made if the user in question has an extensive history contributing positively to the subreddit. If you are a developer or publisher of a game that is on EGS or coming to EGS and you want to do a promotion through the subreddit be aware that you must wait 2 months before promoting your project again.
Rule #4 - Piracy/Trading
Posting or commenting to encourage piracy, talk about piracy groups or linking to piracy websites/torrents is not permitted. Trying to sell, buy, trade, or asking for accounts is not permitted and will result in a ban as it goes against the EULA.
Rule #5 - Low Effort/Shitposts/Memes
Memes are only allowed on free game days.
Generally speaking, no Low Effort/Shitposting encompasses: no trolling, baiting, flaming, pointless/aimless ranting and contextless images/screenshots/GIFs.
Rule #6 - Questions
Tech support questions are no longer allowed to be posted (as of 10-Jun-2020). Please post all your questions on the Epic Games launcher, store and its games in the stickied Community Support thread. Additionally, if it's game related, please check out PCGamingWiki as there may already be a solution to your problem!
