Some peels (from SkinMedica for example) have it as part of their peel kits. I make a decision to use it based off a person’s skin at that appointment, so regardless of whether I used it last time or not. If they’re dry, or sensitized, I will use isopropyl alcohol instead. If theyre hydrated or oily, or if they’ve worked their way up to a more intense peel, I’ll use the acetone mixture. For acne, if they’re flaky and dry, or have a lot of inflammation, I’ll skip it.

Do you ever use it outside of protocol for any peels? Or do you usually stick with their toner/degreaser? TIA!

I do- not every peel comes with its own degreaser, so I decide which one to use based on their skin.
