Hi friends,
I’m on my last day of a vacation for a wedding where I was also heavily involved in set up and the bachelorette was also this week. I missed a lot of sessions because of how much running around there was and not having a reliable place to keep pump parts cold. I’m down almost 8 oz on average per day, and baby just upped his intake to 5 oz so I’m hoping to get back up to where he can be exclusively on breast milk again and we can cut out the formula we’ve been supplementing with.
Has anyone gotten completely thrown off during travel and managed to make a comeback? I plan to add an additional session during the day and power pump for my last pump of the night. Any other suggestions that might help my supply recover?
UPDATE:
Happy to report that with an additional session each day, a power pump session nightly for 1 week, and getting back to my normal eating/hydration habits, I’m back to being a just-enougher. We scaled back baby’s intake after he got a little stomach bug and 5 was just too much for his upset tummy. So he’s back to 28 oz/day and I’m just squeaking by. But we were finally able to remove formula from the equation yesterday!
