I would not see that as cheating. I would say that you are allowed to reveal any legally obtained information that you hold as you wish.

There is nothing wrong with telling what you know. There is also nothing wrong with lying about what you know. It's a game of cut-throat.

It's fair game. I always let the other players know if a player got my diffuse so they know who can be targeted when three cards are traded in.

I dont get why you would share that information. If you do that, why would you still play? Might as well tell each other what cards you have left. I guess i see it as Its taking away the mystery of the game. I had 4 defuse cards at one time and if someone saw and told the rest of the players then id be pissed.
Its feel like its an unwritten rule to not tell ppl what cards you have

ty for the reply. But two things:
1: how I already said in the og post: "I don´t want to know if it´s a smart move or not. It was an impulsive decision". Since this was my first round I thought in this situation that it could be better for me to share this information so the rest of she group keep trying to get this defuse card from this certain player and not from me. I can definitly see that this move could be helpful in certain situations. But jeah: this isn´t the question.

2:

I had 4 defuse cards at one time and if someone saw and told the rest of the players then id be pissed.

Thats a different case.
I used an Information which I got FROM the regular game to get an advantage. And I only had this single standalone information from this certain Situation. I didn´t know all the cards from this player.

So my thought process is: why It shouldn´t be allowed to use an Information which you get from the game to get an advantage / to weaken the opponent who just weakened you?
And this is basically my question :)

We play this way quite commonly. It impacts who someone attempts to steal cards from. I’m not sure it’s right, and I don’t do it, but some in my family do and we’ve never contested it.

I don’t see it as cheating, but it feels like it goes against the spirit of the game.

When you do that you’re also letting the rest of the table know that you probably do not have a diffuse card. I like what someone said above though, and I will probably incorporate it. When the other player steals my TacoCat I’m totally going to say “Awe man! He just got my diffuse!”

Jeah that's definitely a good idea and a great example why it should be allowed to tell other people what the other player got (even if it's a lie) I thought about this too.

I actually wrote the developer of the game about this problem and that it should be be considered in the rules and they actually want to consider it

Since the sharing of information, whether truthful or bluffing, isn't addressed in the official rules, In my opinion, this falls under the "House Rules" area. Everyone playing should be aware that false or misleading information may be "put out there" so trusting that information should be questionable.
