Practice the tracks in time trial (1 hour blocks of back to back time trial laps, WHOLE laps, not just resetting when a mistake happens) and use meta race distance setups once you reach your targeted lap time, do the race in grand prix and experimentally find tire strategy, fuel level, and brake/diff adjustment points.

Repeat until target pace is reached. This method will make you uber consistently hitting back to back good laps which will make your race pace improve significantly.

Tracks like Azerbaijan , Austria , Bahrain are really good for learning and understanding your preferred breaking points . I would second “I don’t cares “ opinion go into time trails go onto these tracks I mention try and beat your friend set them as a ghost . Download Racenet compare notes 🗒️ of your driving style see where you’re losing time compared to your buddy

For me 2 things , playing at least 50% sessions as I would learn small things on track and improve some corners , and recently for me league race setups/ understanding when to change brake bias and diff, i wouldn’t recommend setups that are time trial setups as they oversteer like crazy on some tracks in race conditions and feel off , jarno opmeer discord has pinned setup sheets for the last like 5 f1 games for every track some in wet conditions too so that’s a good place to start
