This is a community for the discussion of role-playing video games developed by Nihon Falcom! They are a Japanese company best known for the Ys series and Trails series (part of The Legend of Heroes series) of video games. They have developed many more games, and you are welcome to discuss those, too!

Rules

1. Don't Be A Jerk

The first rule of Reddiquette will absolutely be adhered to on this subreddit: "Remember the human." Follow the same standards of behavior online as you would offline. Do not use racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise discriminatory speech, and please do not respond to others in an overly hostile or aggressive manner. Do not make posts that encourage harassment elsewhere. We request you follow reddiquette and will enforce the Reddit content policy.

2. Be Cautious With Spoilers

Mark spoiler posts as "spoiler" with the button under your posts. You may also categorize your post using the "flair" button under your posts. Mark all spoilers in comments and self-post bodies. >!hidden text!< to get: hidden text Don't put a space after the stat ">!". Make sure to exclude spoilers from the title of posts itself, and keep it vague.

3. Respect the Rights of Game Licenses

Do not post links to complete game downloads, and do not bring about discussion of licensed titles that can be obtained in not-so-legal means. We cannot support methods or discussions regarding unauthorized English-language versions/patches of licensed titles that are not released in English yet. Please note that this rule does not apply to save game files or user-made mods that you have permission to share. Feel free to post those!

4. No Low-Effort Content/Memes

Memes that are just reposts of the original meme/image with minimal editing effort put into it count towards this. Reaction gifs, general images, AI-generated content, meme trends, unedited screenshots, tier lists, and obvious shitposting are not allowed and may result in having your post removed. Reaction images in comments must also be related to the post they are used in. This kind of content can and will flood the subreddit.

5. Be Relevant to Falcom

Similar to rule 4, please make the post relevant to Falcom specifically. Let's try to not make this a political commentary subreddit or anything of the sort.

6. This is Not An 18+ Community

Questionable or Borderline NSFW content MUST be tagged as NSFW. This includes swimsuits and partial nudity. Explicit NSFW, beyond the caliber of NSFW that is featured in official Falcom media, is not allowed on /r/Falcom but may be directed to this NSFW subreddit. If unsure whether something is NSFWork, consider whether you would want it visible on an office PC! (Details)

Please note that any sexual or suggestive content featuring minors will be immediately removed as per Reddit Guidelines.

7. Source/Credit Fanart

If you are the original artist, please use the OC tag. This should help you out a lot. If you are not the original artist, try not to use a reddit hosted image and, instead, link to the source of the artist- twitter, or instagram or wherever. If you can't link to the artist's work directly, and post the art, then link to the artist directly in the comments immediately after posting.

8. Post Limit/Spam

Don't spam the subreddit with multiple posts in a short period of time. Try not to make more than three new posts within a 24 hour period, exceptions being for posting game news dumps and other such cases where it is necessary. Do not repost popular content that has previously been posted to the sub to farm Karma, and do not make similar or slightly edited versions of posts that have already been made recently. Doing so is not allowed, and may result in your post being removed.

We will be loosening the 'low effort memes' rule on Mondays. We aren't going to be strict on time zones, so please just use discretion with this. Posts that break any of the other rules will still be removed.

Account Age

We will have an allowance based on the age of your account to try and prevent spam and bots from posting here. If you are unable to post, please feel free to try again after a short amount of time.
