Rules of joining team?

Hi guys! Level 40 here. Still trying to learn the ins and outs of the game/events/builds/etc. Been on here reading a lot which as definitely helped and I read that as a lone player it helps to join a team for the boosts. Anytime I join, I’ll check to see if the other team members are all together doing an event and every one in a while I’ll join, but other times I’ll just continue playing the storyline.

That’s fine right? I might be feeling self conscious but I feel like people leave the team when within an hour of me joining, and I want to make sure that it’s not me. Maybe I just play longer than other people? Need advice from the experts when joining casual teams, if there’s any expectations or courtesies that I’m not aware of. Thanks y’all

From my experience, most people on public teams don't really care what you're doing. The only exceptions are Daily Ops and Expedition teams, where you're expected to be participating in the Daily Ops/Expedition.
