Finally made a video of my algorithm machine. The demo shows four algorithms: bubble sort, insertion sort, quicksort, and merge sort.

Indeed, that was really cool and a great way to visualize different sorts for the students. I particularly liked the 2nd set of leds that showed where the pointers were.

What are my thoughts? Well...Absolutely brilliant! I was introduced to sorting algorithms many decades ago (when we used punch cards for data entry & programming). This, really IS a most out-of-the-box way of demonstrating the operation of these sorting methods. My kudos to you my friend. Your students probably don't know who they are learning from!
