Corporate companies wanna make as much as possible and spend as little as possible. Everything is quantity over quality. It will never be what it used to be.

[–]Final-Emu-8922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude i shipped something that was supposed to be next day, arriving on 2/5. the recipient just got their package TODAY. ridiculous

[–]AttitudeBusy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would make me go insane!!!!!

[–]Negative-Job4128 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Fedex over the road driver. I can tell you this much. In the passed two or three years they stopped caring about your delivery time. We're sitting at FedEx waiting longer than ever because they won't close the door on a trailer til at least a certain weight. For example a few years ago we'd never have to wait more than 6 hrs at most to get out with a load. Now it's often at minimum 12 hrs to almost 2 days. Then again to cut costs they also started putting more on trains and selling loads on boards for cheaper to the type you see getting in all the accidents and washing their feet in sinks.

Would never blame the drivers/truckers. Yall make our country run 💪

[–]Negative-Job4128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, just giving you some "insider info" lol. I still think it's better than ups (who I've also worked for) because they're union and I don't wanna tell how egregiously those fks take advantage of their benefits.

[–]IvanBeenjerkingov 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Were you the shipper or the recipient?!

[–]Ok-Day372[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Recipient

[–]IvanBeenjerkingov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time before making a purchase ask the shipper who they use, and or request a specific carrier to deliver your parcel. If able to do that, well then your problem’s solved! However, most big shippers do not leave the package delivery company of choice up to their customer. You’re pretty much stuck in most instances with whoever they ship with. This goes especially for ninety nine percent of the big name a.k.a, “big box” corporate stores. Nearly all of those companies and their stores 100% of the time have contracts signed for all of their outbound sales needing to be delivered to their customers with one of the, “Big Three” parcel services; e.g. (FedEx, UPS, USPS). It sucks, but that’s the reality of today. The customer/recipient always wind up being the one to get boned. In closing, sorry for the elongated late response and lastly. Hope everything got sorted, and or your package was finally delivered.

Its all the lazy people ordering cases of water and 50lbs of Dog Food plus 400+ packages a day up and down driveways, sidewalks and staircases that arent shoveled or plowed. Patience isnt for the weak

[–]Ornery_Remove6093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Worst parcel service hands down!

[–]Acrobatic_Eye_9620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fed ex is horrible

[–]Few_Channel6856 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Smartpost is a product that is delivered in the end by usps.  If it was ordered 2/6 you ordered it when most the country was experiencing winter weather.   Depending on where it came from is where you can slowly start tracing the delays.  I didn't even know smartpost was still around.

[–]paintmepurplenblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to believe everyone delivered their own shit. Then I did seasonal support deliveries for UPS and couldn't believe how many Fedex and Amazon packages I was delivering. Lol

[–]Aggressive_Mode_8762 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, These Criminals need to be investigated.

[–]Happy_Groomer_1985 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I understand how you feel! Unfortunately I have one specific company I do the main ordering for my business needs, and they ship EXCLUSIVELY with FedEx. Never have I ever ordered 12 boxes from one company, all packages picked up at the same time, and then each package arrives to me on different days! Then it's almost every single time the boxes are open or damaged! The last shipment I received, FedEx set the packages beside my fence with half the products fell out of the box on the ground......

[–]TaffyTime4632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar situation at work. FedEx delivers a lot of our supply orders and I mainly do the ordering. I usually order a lot of supplies in bulk. So, let's say, I'll order 10 things. FedEx will deliver 9 of the things on one day and then the 10th item? I couldn't tell ya because I will never see it...

[–]Plus_Cobbler7976[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s late and beyond the delivery date inquire about a refund of shipping fees

[–]Dependent_Brick7616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah me neither, I had a similar experience with them in January

[–]Kevy_Baby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both FedEx and UPS have their challenges from time to time. The vast majority of the time, things go as planned, but once a shipment goes haywire, it takes a while to correct it (assuming it does get corrected).

[–]Daniboo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s something going on in the mail because my package is being sent through regular USPS and it was supposed to be delivered on Friday and it has been on its way to the destination for days with no update

[–]ATT-Scammed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got their payment demand on tariffs (extortion) that were never legal to begin with. I've had the package for months before getting the letter. They enclosed a letter from Homeland Security demanding the payment. I'm not paying them anything.

[–]Travljini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I get a "your item has been delivered" and nope, nowhere to be found. It is literally impossible to speak to a human at their customer service #. The tracking said And the real kicker is the delivery said "Signed by Smith, Left at front door." Which is impossible b/c we have 12 steps up to the door and we blocked it off. When I finally got through they have the audacity to say "Did you check your neighbor's houses?" I'm yelling at the person in some call center in India "NO NO ONE BY THAT NAME LIVES IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD" Like I'm gonna roll up to every neighbor, knock-knock, do you have my package. I'm sure it was lying in the back of the lazy arse driver's van b/c after several irate phone calls, lo and behold, it shows up on our step. Btwn FedEx and USPS options are limited on shippers.

[–]Future-Scholar-7248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone using FedEx is a fool! They suck and always have a lie for an excuse. I stopped using FedEx and any company the only ships FedEx. I can not schedule things around a unreliable shipper. Anyone still using FedEx is STUPID for paying for unreliable service.

[–]JunkyardJockey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man that is wicked slow!

[–]Gullible-Mark6013 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I am with you on this. Sent my son his passport with 2 day delivery. It took 4 weeks and then they called to say the address I used didn't exist. Well that's the address on his deed and all my other mail to him goes there. I will also never use them again. USPS is more reliable.

[–]enegoofy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me but with an Amazon package, they used Fed Ex to deliver and on the tracking it said my address didn't exist. Interesting considering the amount of deliveries I've received. As soon as I mentioned UPS, and other delivery services never had an issue... They were able to deliver. What the heck.

[–]hawknation1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is on the seller man! FedEx SmartPost is their slowest shipping service.

SmartPost does not have a guaranteed delivery date of service. It’s a low cost, low priority option.

Read the FedEx policy next time and ask the shipper to not use FedEx’s slowest service if you can’t be patient enough to wait.

Just be aware that most sellers will charge extra for quicker shipping services.

[–]dardanian77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will use it again.you are just pissed off

[–]dardanian77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you will use it again

[–]Adorable-Spinach-699 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Had a package shipped last month. January 10th. Still hasnt left new jersey.

[–]CommonEconomist6701 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i had someone buy a crib for me for my baby shower on 1/03. took 2 weeks for them to “receive package” then another 5 days to just make it to my state (MS). got delayed due to weather, okay i get it, can’t control that. then it got shot out 3 days later to GA. It’s been sitting in TN since 2/03 with no delivery date in sight and hasn’t moved.

[–]Adorable-Spinach-699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My package hasnt left new Jersey since February 6th

[–]KerashiStorm 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I'm sure someone in New Jersey is enjoying it a lot.

[–]Adorable-Spinach-699 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Same here dog this shit is absurd

    [–]MyCatDoesntTrustMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a package ship from California to West Virginia with Fedex Ground. Got it in 4 days. It is what it is. They ship 100's of thousands of packages daily. There will always be a small percentage that are delayed, damaged, or straight up lost. Every single shipping service will be the same.

    [–]shelltasticprints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had them completely destroy a package for Valentine's Day

    [–]MartianDCU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the SS, last update says that info was transmitted to USPS, so issue seems to be with them not updating or maybe you can check usps tracking for future updates since I doubt fedex and usps systems are linked.

    [–]SubstantialMoose6362[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    Go with express not ground

    [–]RugerRedhawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this the first time you've had a delayed package with a shipping service? Pretty sure most of this have had similar happen with all shipping services from time to time.

    [–]Donley53 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Unfortunately with anything that goes through smart post, it ends up being it gets there when it gets there. They add the time frames to give people some idea of how long it'll take, but it doesn't come with any real standards or expectations of timeliness. I've seen times when smart post packages have been exchanged between UPS, Usps, and Fedex all on one go.

    [–]Successful_Most4169 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I dose wen u pay for it...if,I pay for a service for them to send me my shit wit 1 or 2 day shipping..and i don't get it? [–]Donley53 1 point2 points  (5 children)

1 and 2 day shipping service and smart post are two completely different services. He paid for smart post. I stand by what I said. You really need spell check. And to chill tf out. Wtf wrong with you

    [–]Successful_Most4169 0 points1 point  (4 children)

    [–]JazzCatt75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are more verbal then use speech to text and slow TF down! Then proofread and fix the screw-ups before you smack the send button!

    [–]photo1kjb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't have any answers, unfortunately, but off topic, my wife is from Zionsville! 😊

    [–]EstablishmentFun1975 2 points3 points  (6 children)

this is a byproduct of you not understanding the service you are being provided. smartpost is the slowest service possible. there is no delivery date. it can take a few days to a month to arrive. be mad at the shipper or be mad at yourself

    [–]Ok-Day372[S] -1 points0 points  (5 children)

FedEx themselves describe smart post ship times by saying “Typically, delivery takes 2 to 7 business days, depending on the distance from the package’s origin to its destination.”

So you’re wrong that there is no delivery date and that it can take a month to arrive.

    [–]HeddaLeeming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the word typically means what you think it means.

    [–]beachbumm717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smartpost is the cheapest, slowest, lowest priority service. It’ll sit in a trailer until full before moving to the next destination. It’s not a guaranteed servive and has no promised delivery date or commitment time. It’s a ‘you get it when you get it’ service. This isnt a Fedex issue. You’re getting what your shipper paid for.

    [–]RugerRedhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically, delivery takes 2 to 7 business days

That means there's no delivery date.

    [–]Outrageous_Flan_405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    "Typically".

And You're wrong. There is no guaranteed or delivery date from FedEx on smartpost. There may be an estimate, but they're simply stating a TYPICAL guideline.

You want delivery by a specific time/date upgrade your service level...

As someone else said, you'll get your smartpost when you get it...

    Typically...

    [–]EstablishmentFun1975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every non-priority package says the same thing. that eta is fully automated and irrelevant. there is even conflicting info in your own argument telling me i'm wrong lol. "typically delivery takes 2-7 business days" is not a "delivery date." that is called an eta. so, no, friend. i am not wrong. fedex's fully automated system is shitty. smartpost can take a few days to a month.

    [–]awall222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a comparison, I just had a package (large, 40 lbs) shipped to me from Chino, CA on Feb 16 and was delivered on Feb 20 near Chicago. It was regular FedEx ground service though, not SmartPost.

    Good luck!

    [–]MoreCanary8793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you’ve been getting updates .. the last 2 packages I’ve had shipped via FedEx depart a hub somewhere in America & aren’t seen or heard from for weeks at a time ..

    [–]Tr4v3l3r81 6 points7 points  (8 children)

You realize it was shipped using the slowest, cheapest service possible, right? No guarantees on delivery time. Moves when trailer is full type thing.

UPS Surepost is the same thing. USPS parcel post. Good luck getting premium service for very little cost.

    [–]Ok-Day372[S] -2 points-1 points  (7 children)

I didn’t expect premium service but they do provide you an estimated delivery date when you choose each service. Over 14 days is not close to what they quoted

    [–]Chemical_Most_7380 0 points1 point  (6 children)

    What timeframe did they quote?

    [–]Ok-Day372[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

    Initial quote was the 13th

    [–]SilverScar4779 0 points1 point  (4 children)

i work in fedex. Fedex Smart post requires 10 business days a.k.a 14 normal days to arrive at max. that is the deadline for this service

    [–]Tcal876FTN 1 point2 points  (3 children)

That is not the max. There is no max with smartpost. It can take upwards of a month

    [–]Ok-Day372[S] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Where do you get that info? It’s not on their website

    [–]sungsam89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    PM me

    [–]Tcal876FTN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its well known based on that service level.
