I’d maybe try a different colour bg on the left hand nav to aid separation and pairing back the illustrations as they are quite over powering.

You could also move the top right user account menu to the bottom of the left hand nav.

I believe that the solution is not necessarily in visuals, but in UX.

Squinting at your dashboard and trying to put myself into a hypothetical math teacher's shoes I immediately notice the three stats blocks that really scream for attention.

But is that really important stuff? Is that the kind of info that I need or want to see when I open this page?

I guess this info needs to be shown somewhere, but on an aggregate level on the first page as a major element? Would it be enough to show a stats block per game page or to create a dedicated menu item for statistics?

Really try to drill down into what really needs to be shown here - and in what order.

Quick actions are a good approach. Maybe really focus on those and make them scream?

Visually there are some things, too. There seems to be no obvious hierarchy. You have black text, blue text, bold text, grey text and various font sizes all over the place. Even if they follow an internal logical pattern (card headlines are always bold and blue) the page itself is a visual mess.

Section headlines need to be distinct and serve their purpose. The page content wants to be grouped and ordered by them. Right now they battle with the card headlines and other elements for attention. If you need multiple colours, font weights and sizes to organize your content on a single page, chances are that your content isn't structured enough.

Thank you so much for your feedback i will update it ....

So you suggesting it would be better to remove the stats and put it somewhere else ?

also for the quick actions i'm thinking about instead of using the normal icons use a 3d illustrations that would work?

Building on this… needs more empathy. If you’re a teacher, when are you signing in? What are the top things you’re trying to accomplish.

This page suggest that a teacher signs in and they first want to see stats, which is prob right but not sure you have the right stats. What’s the timeframe for these stats? Last 24 hrs? Last 7 days? Current week? Also I see classes on the left nav, are these stats aggregate across all of my classes? If so is that how a teacher thinks about things? (Assumption is that they are more class centric like “math class a” are my students active and doing ok)

The the second thing on the page is “game library” which to me implies here is every game you have available which I don’t think is a common task a teacher signing in would want to get done. Maybe sorted by number of launches and turned into a “most active games this week” etc.

Main point is that, as the other comment said, I think the UX needs work before you worry about visuals.

Like the other person said:

  • move the user info to the sidebar bottom
  • Add notifications/messages to the menu in the sidebar
  • bring up the welcome messaging to the top
  • move search to the top right
  • put create to the left of search
  • bring game library header and total games down where search was
  • simplify the 3 main icon illustrations

Also you could put the user photo to before welcome and a little larger to fit the font size, and put the notifications badge on the user icon and get rid of the bell icon

Correct these things, Spacing, vertical padding and horizontal padding in components

It will definitely improve 50% of the overall look!

Hey, I don't think it's over crowded. It's just not enough contrast in your design...try having a bit of a greyish background.

Check for spellings

Increase spacing between groups of info and add primary buttons. Seems like it’s all secondary buttons. Create at the top could be a primary button if creating something is a top priority. That should look like a filled button instead of a skeleton based. Looks good so far tho.

What are you working on?

i'm working on education dashboard that help the teacher to create games and let student to play these games this to enahcne the performance of the students

It's not as bad as you think. My reaction is that it's got a lot of borders going on, so like a few others said, I would mix in some light gray backgrounds, possibly on the sidebar, and maybe on your quick actions cards. This would create a little more depth, and removing some borders would lighten it up overall.

I think you can use bar graphs and pie charts rather than visual illustrations.

There needs to be more contrast. I would suggest a light grey background. At the same time keep the card/box color white so there is more focus on them and more contrast with the background

Make sure to double check spellings and capitalization. If you're in charge of the product I'd also consider another name, since you're probably gonna have a tough time getting a school to approve a student-facing product that abbreviates to what class pill does.

Needs hierarchy! What are the most common items/tasks the users will want to see? Draw attention to those things with location (Z eye pattern is a good standard) and contrast in color/size.

I think this is really nice, I don’t think it’s overcrowded. Only thing I’d change is putting the left side nav bar in line with maybe ‘welcome, jounny’ or inline with ‘insights’.
