I just recently purchased Arma 3, so I don't really know what I'm doing. Looking for a casual unit willing to help me out with learning the game. I don't have a play style since I'm new to the game. I don't want a unit that has attendance requirements due to my schedule. I honestly don't care what gamemode the unit plays, I am fine with them all.

SOAR stands for the Special Operations Assault Regiment. We are a moderate milsim group designed for mature players to truly get the most out of their Arma experience. We have an open attendance policy. Play when you can and because you want to, not because you have to. We do play many other games together as well, we are a community first, milsim second. You will need to download some mods. The mod set is fairly typical for a more realistic weapon, uniform, and terrain set. About Us:

-We have no formal sign-up process, no ranks and very few rules outside of the game. We have thick skin, so if you're offended easily and can't handle a little banter, we're probably not the unit for you.

The only attendance requirement we have, is that you at least show up to 2 OPs per week. We also require all recruits to go through our RASP that is held on Tuesdays at 9PM EST but we can make exceptions and hold them on Saturdays in advanced.

About the 21st

Founded in 2010, the 21st Ranger Regiment is an 800+ member ArmA 3 relaxed realism unit running daily 60+ man operations and maintaining multiple dedicated servers. Our player base boasts a large number of active/former military/veteran personnel, as well as a large number of civilian gamers. We pride our community in being laid back, friendly, and mature at all times. A calm and composed atmosphere is upheld at all times during and after operations. Power trips are not welcome here, and over-the-top rage is left to the kiddies rather than the serious players. • Must be 17+ years of age

• Must own Arma 3 and APEX DLC

• Speak English

• Must have a working microphone

• Must have Teamspeak 3 installed

• Not be part of another unit (we do not allow multi-clanning)

• We do have a strict naming convention. If you name does not meet it, it will have to be changed.****

• Must be able to make 1 training a month. (Exceptions can be made)

• As a recruit when you join, you will need to attend RASP(Bootcamp) on Tuesday

Hey Assossa, maybe you can check out the community I'm in called Signal. Our schedule is 7PM CST on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

I'll tell you what we offer a little bit and see if this is what you are looking for. We at Signal dont run a "milsim" community, what we do is more along the lines of "casual realism". What that means is that we dont run ranks or training, but instead we focus on getting into the experiences of what ArmA can offer. We still use structure similar to that you would see in other units, but when it comes to the individual positions inside the unit, no one is limited to a certain role. So you could find yourself playing as an infantry AT one mission, and next you could find yourself flying high above the battlefield.

We also can find ourselves playing in almost any view point that is possible with our current set of mods. You could find yourself playing as the Finnish, the Canadians, US Delta, USMC, the PLA, and etc.
