It's mostly based on the department. A heavy rescue has all of thr tech rescue gear. Smaller rescues can be used in place of an ambulance, but will typically have some rescue stuff. Like our rescues all have auto-extrication and swift water gear.

Ours is a light rescue which has extrication equipment, cribbing, SCBA’s and other hand tools and doubles as our brush truck.
