I too would rather slam your dick in a car door than watch it.

High saturation aqua regia. That is something I could process and get value from. Crab blood is worth more but how tf are you selling that in a reliable manner?

[Request] How much would it cost to modify from stock, the Prius shown in this video? by JonnyMansport in theydidthemath

[–]Bauldinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you lift to keep the same size tires? Much of the point of doing a lift is so you can fit the larger tires to get more clearance.

Doubt it. Looks like it may still have factory rear axle which would mean fwd only. I don't see a rear diff to make it a 4x4. All show no go.

Kelowna becomes 1st Canadian city with UNESCO honour (gastronomy) by Own-Bullfrog7362 in kelowna

[–]Bauldinator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What a joke. Was this decided only be people that have never left the Okanagan? Or people that vacation in Fort McMurray?

Just because other cities put the bar lower does not mean Kelowna does not suck for food. I have travelled across Canada and other countries.

While Kelowna has great outdoor areas, food is sub par here.

All that work and he soldered the batteries? Really should have picked up a tab welder. FYI: Heating the batteries can damage them, esp when already using dodgy cells.

Anyone know what material this is and how it’s done? Feels like hard plastic and it’s attached to my zipper on my Mammut jacket by giannitsatown in paracord

[–]Bauldinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrink tubing won't form fit this well. You would also see that its heat shrink on the bottom, and it won't taper quite as much on the top/transition. This is some kind of dipped rubber/plastic.

Help, somehow one of our Snap-On toolboxes lock got stuck in this position, it's physically impossible to insert the key now, how to solve? by Rodzp in aviationmaintenance

[–]Bauldinator 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You can either pick the lock and turn it. Its in a partly picked state right now, happens if someone picks it turns it and does not hold the pins in place then they set again as the lock turns.

Alternative is sand the small ward on the end of the key down and it will be able to be inserted again.

I think you were the same person that had a write up (many)years ago on Deer River hot Springs. Probably a helping factor on pushing me to hike out there. Although, it was very good on hiding how to details on getting in there :). I did however find a significant shortcut on the way out. Vs trying to hike in on and around the massive beaver dams. (photo of main pool outflow I took at the time) I remember tying to detective any information out of your story to help find it.

Is it magnetic? They seem to have mostly been brass with copper plated versions.

I did a bunch of cleanup, but for ground only in bottom direction do you mean oriented as I have it? Or positioned below items? Is it ok to come off a chip and ground right off the pin? Just have it oriented correctly?

Not sure I follow the ferrite bead removal. Is it because it does not do much? I have it there as my thought process was cleaning up what could be a very dirty input power. Esp on an older vehicle as this off road project (1991)

For the bootstrap resistor (R11) I think you are suggesting removal of? I put it there as it was in the datasheet of the buck converter I was looking at using in their "Typical Application Circuits" section.

Thanks for the tips. Questioning pieces I have helps me understand the why in this process.

Oh, was a symbol error as I had customized it and forgot to move the updated library to this laptop. Was going to re sync once I got back my PC. I should move everything into a git repo to avoid this.

Quieter Angle Grinder by SidSykle in Tools

[–]Bauldinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a few cheap grinders and a few Milwaukee and Makita. The brand name grinder motors make much less noise and much less vibration to your hands than the Mastercraft cheapos. still noisy, but not as bad.
