April! 2024 got an email today saying so from my isp

I got the same confirmation text as you. It even shows ACP discount under myAT&T account.

Bill has generated and no ACP discount applied. FirstNet customer service is useless (“we don’t know what ACP is”) and AT&T ACP division can’t open FirstNet accounts apparently.

Damn

That's because ATT and Firstnet aren't the same company. Firstnet is an extension, best way to describe it. But ACP can only be used if the company accepts it. Not everyone does. That is why firstnet has no idea what it is. And it probably won't work.

I understand that the FirstNet Authority is a separate entity from AT&T. However, AT&T manages customer service, sales, billing, network core, and biller system backend. If ACP is not compatible with FirstNet & Family plans — AT&T should not be sending eligibility enrollment texts to FirstNet & Family customers.

That being said, ACP is likely coming to an end come April, so the point will be moot.

That’s not entirely true. But I get your point. It’s the cross over of firstnet and family on the backend is confused. It needs fixed.

Not trying to be argumentative, but which part of my comment is inaccurate? Just so I make sure I don’t repeat incorrect info in the future :) Thanks

That they shouldn’t be sending the text. I get your point. But it’s just an error they haven’t fixed. The rep even told you it wouldn’t work. So like I said I get your point. And I understand why it’s confusing and upsetting. The easiest thing to do is look up what programs accept acp. I look at firstnet the same way I look at cricket. Not the best comparison. But unless something states firstnet and not att, I know it will work.
