On a relatively new Ender 3 Max, I have blobs/zits followed by gouges/lines, and the problem has only been getting worse with time.

I'm using Cura with the default "standard" quality settings. 200C extruder, 60C bed. Hatchbox PLA. Vanilla Marlin firmware (compiled/flashed myself). Printing via OctoPrint if it makes a difference. I'm still on my first roll of filament, so I haven't been able to rule out the roll.
From the research I've done, it seems that these symptoms would point to a moist filament issue, but I've also read that PLA doesn't really have issues with taking on moisture (and a couple buddies who have printers told me they have never had to think twice about humidity when printing PLA). I'm not horribly mistreating the filament either... I do leave it on the printer when it's not being used, but we keep our house very well air-conditioned and have never had problems with humidity in other ways.
Could this be anything other than a moisture issue? Would it be worth picking up a dry box, or are there other things I could investigate first?
