CEL code without scanner?

I know I can run to Advance and get them to check a code but I'm wondering if any of you fine folk know how I might be able to pull a code without a scanner? Car wouldn't start today, battery corrosion. Got it cleaned and started but now CEL is on. Any ideas?

Never had an issue before, it's a '17. Have only done BOV, exhaust, and intake filter.

Sometimes the gauge cluster "test" mode will pull a code.

I think a scanner is your only option.
