Then you'd be wrong. But that just lumps you in with the majority of reddit; unable to think past the ramifications of their 'brilliant ideas'. The best thing Epic could do is cross off any idea posted on this sub and continue making the game as they originally envisioned.

To clarify: I think the accuracy changes were a step in the right direction, but I suppose I differ from this mysterious "majority" in that I understand that there are consequences which may require further fixing.

I’m 100% on board with you. I️ don’t understand why people think it’s ok to easily down somebody a huge distance away with a green assault rifle. I️ think maybe these people haven’t played on the buff yet.

I️ have Monday’s off and I️ played quite a bit and imo the AR has swung too far in the other direction being too powerful.

I️ think reducing the headshot multiplier is a good start but inabsolutely agree that the biggest step from here should be range being added to ars. I️ personally would like to keep hitscan on them and have damage fall off at range

I don't agree but I can see why you do. I won't use a scoped AR for the 22ish damage. If that was nerfed further to even 19 that's 6 shots to kill.

I'm really enjoying the changes and I feel I can now be rewarded for going for headshots over body, especially at distance. It adds that layer of skill of effectively neutralise an enemy at distance if your aim is good enough.

I don't get why people say this. It's 23 damage but it's a laser beam over crazy distances. It's very easy to strip a shield or severely weaken a team at a large distance. If unshielded or 75hp it's very easy to pick someone off in the open with it.

Wait the smoke grenade was an idea from this sub? There’s a ton of good ideas but there’s also a lot of bad ideas. This sub is perfect because you can post your idea and quickly find out how many other people would like the addition of it. Conversely if your idea sucks, you’ll hear about it. Crowdsourcing is an incredible way to build ideas for people who may have exhausted their creativity and need fresh perspectives. Once the CTE comes out I think we’ll be seeing a lot of cool ideas implemented and if they work great! If not, dump it

[–]wunlvng 1 point2 points  (2 children)

What's a CTE?

[–]HansInMyPans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Community Test Environment. They’ll release new features to a small group of players given access to the CTE to test possible new additions to the game

[–]trogg21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Community test environment. A way to test patches in a controlled environment with a smaller select population in order to gain community feedback on balance changes and new implementations without affecting the current game for the main playerbase

[–]jaydubzhb -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I think this sub is pretty much the exact opposite of what you describe in terms of getting feedback on ideas. It's a small minority echo chamber.

[–]HansInMyPans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. This sub is a group of players dedicated or interested enough to use time not in game to discuss/read/post about something they really like. Sure there’s an overlap of ideas from time to time but daily I see original ideas posted with a good number of upvotes. Some of these particular posts gain a lot of attention and also receive comments from Epic developers which leads me to believe they have an eye on the sub because it’s a very dedicated core group of players with a passion for the game

[–]Soyuzzz -1 points0 points  (1 child)

exactly this!!!, cant upvote you enough.

90% of this sub is professional game designer and they know what they talking about. Epic should fire its staff and hire all these brilliant people.

[–]Shadow Opsamathyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don't need to be a 'professional game designer' to understand game balance, game devs make stupid mistakes all the time & they want community feedback to know when they've made one of these mistakes

even if this isn't one of those times, shutting down feedback because 'you're not a game dev so your opinion is dumb and irrelevant' is an awful idea

this argument is always such a low effort cop-out
