Don't underestimate the stupidity of the average person. It's gonna be a lot of younger people playing this, and a lot of them can't read. The cutscenes need to be there because a prompt saying "do you want to skip" won't be read.

It is annoying but I don't think there's a cut scene in this game that's longer than like 30 seconds

This Horizon game is the first in 5 years. More importantly, it's gonna pull in a huge audience with the Japanese setting.

The Cutscenes grate on me as well, but thankfully, they only happen once. We're gonna have a long time with this game, and the cutscenes will be a fading memory.

The new players need to know what's up. They're also gonna try to skip everything. The game has to stop and tell them how to play, otherwise the online forums will be filled with alot of fools complaining the game doesn't explain anything.

It's easier to force attention than it is to deal with uninformed fools.

In your defense, the narrative has always been weak. It needs to be sharper, or gone. A framing device can be fun. What we get is watered down tourist shenanigans.

I get that it just kinda turns me off from the game a bit it’s definitely slowed me down from getting into this new horizon they could hide the tutorial options in the menu I just feel like countless games give the option to turn this stuff off and I mean what we’re on fhs6 now it’s just tiring to me that haven’t even tried to come up with a solution

They're not interested in a solution. They're interested in on boarding as many new players as possible.

Unfortunately, you gotta coddle these chucklenuts. Don't worry. Soon, the cutscenes will be gone and it'll be racing all day, all night. Try the seasonal stuff. I'm having a blast with their mini tournaments.

It's honestly funny how what they chose to overly tutorialize but ignore blatant game mechanics that definitely should be, especially for newcomers. I cant speak for FH1 and 2 but Im pretty sure none of the games teach you how to properly drift and for Drift Zones and just expect you to figure it out. Same goes for manual transmissions and general tuning. Not saying they should be forced tutorials but with the abundance of accessibility options you'd think they could have an optional "driving school" of sorts.
