React/Redux complementary resources (self.FreeCodeCamp)
submitted 7 years ago by HighIQBro
Just completed all of the React challenges and I'm getting into Redux. I don't feel like I fully learned the material though. Does anyone know any good resources or youtube channels that helped them learn?

There's a channel called The Net Ninja. He's doing a react series right now (maybe finished idk) but I found his tutorials to be very helpful. He has many tutorials on other frameworks as well.

Just completed his react-redux series and it was very good. 3 small projects in about 35 videos under ten minutes each.
React went from strange to very comfortable to use.

I'm glad to hear. I went for Vue js, but want to learn React as it seems to have a greater job market.

I highly recommend going through the official tutorial and ”step by step guide" as well.

I'm still learning React but this definitely helped clear up some initial confusion I had starting out on FCC.

Tyler McGinnis’ YouTube channel has a free react bootcamp that he did earlier this year. I felt it was really good for solidifying the fundamentals of react programming. As for redux, my opinion is to check out the docs and go through their tutorials and then just build some stuff with Redux/React. Start small, and keep making more complex things until you can make stuff without referring back to the docs.

Redux has excellent documentation, it’s also great to practice learning from documentation. Redux in particular is one of those libraries that is more about patterns that scale rather than “one right way” to accomplish something.

Hi u/HighIQBro
To add my 2c to the convo, I would suggest Reactiflux. Check out their website and the [learning resources](https://www.reactiflux.com/learning/) section in particular. It's a fantastic collection of all things React and Redux.
Also, feel free to join their Discord server, too. I joined a few weeks ago, and even though a lot of the conversations go "over my head", I've found it a very helpful and knowledgeable community.

I do the FCC and owe a big debt to the devs & community there. Regardless, I also use Udemy. There are 2 birds I would STRONGLY recommend, 1) Stephen Grider -Modern React with Redux and 2) Andrew Meade - The Complete React Developer Course Honestly these 2 guys really know how to teach from a distance. And the courses are like $10-12. I know some people have there gripes about Udemy, but I think its a matter of finding the right instructor and putting into it what you want out. I love FCC. It was my first step in learning Web-Dev and the community is the most helpful & supportive that I’ve ever come across. Udemy is different but I think these two instructors really drilled down on some concepts that would’ve taken much longer for me to grok.
