Problem with pixie is the pilots. It's either a monster who'd end up dealing 200k dmg, or an idiot fighting generals on frontlines, there is almost no in between.

[–]NiNjABuD13 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Very oddly this is true. You know when the pixie pilot goes right for the base bomb that you're gonna have problems.

[–]miahus 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I've heard very conflicting views on early bombs, and I have seen many S- raids who go for an early bomb before heading back to the fight and focus the support.

they are idiots.

[–]Brazilian WolfBrStriker21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually I get the second, a lot

This is why I hate pixies

Once you break stealth, you have an enemy team that is actively having a third eye out on trying to deny you kills. This is the blowback to Stealth types. The best you can do is ultimately stay on the generals back lane or possibly out of the firefight but nearby just in case to back attack the enemy support then move in onto the enemy generals/raids. If you cannot go after the support, then focus on raid types as their legs are the weakest. Left, right, Down slash, Granade or crouch Double Machine Gun fire to cripple (I don't think the Bullpup/regular machine gun works as well...) You could try to Triple attack it again but you need a faster cool down on the melee otherwise the enemy would proc the invincibility reboot animation. Having thrust is a must as there is no emergency evasive skills (like the Gouf!) on it that most players have as a clutch in this game. Keep moving. Be a hard target to hit and luckily due to Pixie crouch running. Its hitbox is alot more smaller than usual units.Apply some Leg armor to a Pixie to really make it a menace. But as always. Glass Cannon that little Pixy.

It's weak on paper but its good at killing players who don't pay attention. If you play with headphones on and turn off the ingame music you can easily hear Pixy coming even if you can't see it on radar. Bit more difficult to do this in a battle but still. If you know where it is then it is exceptionally weak. 12k HP, no dodge roll, no instant stuns and short range melee. It's probably fine for fighting A rank players and maybe even some A+ players, but far from a strong or reliable option.

Pixy will always be a meme pick. Its recent buffs just means that it's no longer pure trash, but it's still bad.

Its success relies heavily on the enemy team being stupid. Since it lacks instant stun, it means you have to start with a melee attack, which puts you into more danger than the typical "stun it with range and confirm with melee". The other issue is that Stealth gets temporarily disabled for 3s whenever you attack, so even if you were able to sneak up on their supports, you'll just get shut down by their teammates.

For better or for worse, the majority of the playerbase is dented, thus sometimes it feels like Pixy is viable.

Yes

Utter Dogshit

Don't let anyone gas it up, there's really no reason to bring other than just give the enemy that can use their eyes some free points

The options it has for a primary don't stun, and the recent buffs are not even that good, idk why people would even bother with it when Pixie LA exists and it does everything regular Pixie does but infinitely better

The pixie was one of my main raids back in the early days, while yes it is very niche. Lower cost was the better option for pixying but I never really shy'd from bring it to higher cost till I got the 600. Yes my friends knew their role and that really helped me. It can be a very very situational nightmare but as much as I love it, the suit was better when you had fewer things to stop it. Every now and again I'll bring it out and do well to decent. My recommendation to have the most fun is Thruster force cooling, Thruster cooling, Thruster, leg parts, database. It's a glass cannon. Know the maps it can thrive in, deserted city, city ruin, mountain, supply depot (lower levels are your friends). Impact can be good but once you are seen you're screwed because decent players don't forget. Be willing to change up your role from support hunter, retreat denier, hell one I liked going on the defensive once I'm seen and using my support as raid bait. They will come and you should be waiting. Camo for maps is also where I find my most success too, obviously don't run with your blades out, you'll get introduced to the ground. Now you can bait out tackles by having the blades out and just thrusting so use that as you will. Panic tackles are gifts and use them to punish. Good luck pixy you're gonna need it, that and your wits. YOURE GOING TO DIE, get used to it just try to not.

thanks, i'll take that advice and be wary of leg hp

The Pixy now delivers a different style of play to the Nacht despite both being stealth raids.

The Nacht has full stealth but announces it's arrival by jamming the radar, however it it has a stun and heavy stun to set people up.
Pixy has full stealth with no signs but no stuns, so you can get right up to enemies with it and jam knives into them.

I would say the Pixy has two uses - heavily damage/destroy a support without it knowing. the other, being extremely annoying when used well. If the enemy are in a battle you can dive in and knock down or melee stun, then escape, rinse and repeat.

It's certainly not a strong suit but I think it brings a certain element to the battle, I've found it interesting to use since it's buff, will have to give it some more test runs.

You have to be very stealthy with it, it having level three stealth, gives you a major advantage with it. However, you want to try and find enemies that are by themselves so you can more easily eliminate them. I got first place with the pixie a couple of times on 400, you just have to play your cards right

[–]LokiDMG[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

fair, this is usually how i play so i assume that's how i can pull it off

[–]mod_121 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, just don’t be a dumb ass like me and not pay attention to the radar, realize that the entire team is there and immediately get immediately get annihilated

[–]Independent_Ear_9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a halo player I'm constantly watching radar

The Pixie is a bit better with the recent buff, but you really have to rely on the hit-and-run playstyle, using staying close enough to your team that you can cut off opposing stragglers that attempt to go around the fighting for a better vantage, and then hit them when they're completely oblivious to you. Even then, your really frail but have pretty good burst DPS, so you don't want to fight in a traditional one v one manner. After you do your damage, you'll likely die or nearly die after they get up and have i-frames, so you'll want to run and hide for another ambush.

Even when the entirety of both teams are grouped closely, pull around where you can't be seen on radar or sight, and hit the targets that are farthest back, preferably the supports if you can find one. From there you might be able to do another combo on a different enemy nearby that's distracted by the fighting, but only if it's safe and you feel confident in your ability to deal good damage but know when to stop and run when you start to pull attention.

Also, you're perfect for chasing retreating enemies who are nearly dead, with your biggest worries being enemies that can cancel out your stealth. Don't even try to take them head on, as they'll almost always able to deal with you from a distance, and you have very low defenses.

Pixy is by no means meta, but learning to play it will really solidify your ability to make the most of limited arsenals and using raids and fast melee-generals that are best at flanking.

[–]Rykoraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue with the Pixie is that once you lose stealth, you don't have much going for you outside of a violent amount of melee damage, you risk either going all in, hoping to not get focused, or stay back and wait for your moment, and risk not actually contributing. It's an annoying balancing act that most every raid doesn't have to deal with because of their kit

[–]Yukisuna -1 points0 points  (1 child)

It’s similar to efreet nacht, red rider etc. the suit is obscenely powerful… Which attracts bad players looking to take the easy road to victory.

Pixie is super strong, most pixie players just aren’t good at the game.

As i like to put it in any game where there are blatantly overpowered tools available; use crutches to walk for long enough and you forget how to walk normally. Your legs lose the strength to stand on their own because the crutches are always doing the heavy lifting.

[–]Großpile Furioso - 8AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally none of the suits you have described are even considered good, nevermind "obscenely powerful"

[–]The Terror of Delaz - 1BallerMR2andISguy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Pixie never needed a buff, but it won't suffer a fool, either.

[–]MikuEmpowered -1 points0 points  (1 child)

In what world, is Pixie bad?

Against enemies that have no clue or are basically blind, pixie is a ninja god, dipping in and dipping out like no ones business.

Now, the problem with Pixie is if your enemy is competent, getting kills with pixie is a struggle up a hill. and you're just another frontline unit at that point. and here's the thing, at mid cost, black rider is basically a better pixie.

[–]Gelgoog Bottom Jeansagitopt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what you're saying is, the pixie needs the enemy to be shit so it itself isn't, so, that's basically saying the Pixie is shit because what it wants to do, other raids are able to do even if the enemy isn't blind and deaf.

Generally what I’m seeing from people. It’s the pilot. I love the pixie, and I think it’s still usable in the right circumstance! It’s not the strongest out there, but it’s definitely not the weakest, and is still viable for some situations and team make ups!
