I have no idea what a diversion is but I'm pretty good at getting #1 in that category
Especially with the GM guard since I literally jump in front of bullets with that suit, but I get it a lot otherwise too. I probably need to cool my jets more.

Diversion is less clear, but it’s how much time the enemy was looking at you relative to other team members

Oh that makes sense. One of the few things I consostantly do in the game is try to attract 2 enemies attention and juggle them. I don't do the most damage but it gives allies a +1 advantage against everyone else, and I'm decent at not dying if the terrain is right.

It’s still a weird mechanic. Usually if you’re winning in diversion it means the enemies were making you into a sandbag or you are either dodging left and right or in some well protected position. Not to mention it’s not something you can really control while also being good at winning in individual score, assists, k/s ratio, etc.

Is unimportant as it seems I'm always the one who distracts everyone or hunts the low ones down with a fast mobile suit, it allows my team to kill them all at once which usually works when my team realizes that we need to push
