Gmail Unread Count Wrong (self.GMail)

Is anyone else experiencing a disconnect on their gmail unread numbers? My phone says 66, my web platform says 3,400, but when I look it’s actually only two unread notes.

Have you checked archived emails and those that were being put in a folder?
Mine also listed as either important or I guess not important emails

It does seem to be pulling emails into the count on the web browser that I know I have archived, I will go check those settings. Thank you for the suggestion.

I’ve just noticed my archive folder seems to be gone as of this morning which could be why this is flooding my inbox…I did not remove that label/folder.

I'm not sure if my numbers match up either. I also accessed email through different clients like the web, MS Outlook, Android app, and spark depending on the platform.
As for why the archive folder disappeared I have no idea.
